Olivia's pov:

"Thanks for picking me up from the airport." I said as I hopped in Danny's car.

"No problem." he mumbled, not looking at me.

I frowned but didn't comment. He's been acting this way since I called him this morning asking for a ride home. I could've called a taxi but I wanted to invite him in my house and have a much needed chat.

"So, ummm, how have you been?" I asked after of tense silence.

"Fine." he replied curtly.

After that, I didn't try to start another conversation. I have no idea why Danny's acting like this. Is he mad at me for running away and not talking to him for three days? I kinda understand but I had good reasons for what I did.

We finally pulled into my driveway. Before I could invite him in, Danny turned off the car, got out, and marched to my doorway. He crossed his arms and leaned against the wall as he waited for me. I walked to the trunk and got out my luggage before joining him. I walked passed him and unlocked the door.

I stepped inside and left my luggage at the front door before walking to the kitchen, Danny right behind me. He sat at the island as I fixed some green tea. When it was done, I poured us both a cup and sat on the stool beside him.

"I have something I need to tell you." we both started off.

"You first!" we exclaimed curiously.

We stared at each other with raised brows and tilted heads. Suddenly, laughter bubbled out of me. Danny followed suit and we were laughing hysterically, leaning on each other for support.

"Okay-okay, I'll go first." I said, regaining my composure.

I took a sip of my tea before clearing my throat. Danny watched me like a hawk, growing more and more impatient.

"I'm not sure how to say this without just blurting it out. Thierry and I had an affair of sorts." I blurted out, quickly covering my face.

"I know. He told me." he sighed.

"What?!" I gasped, looking at him in utter shock.

"Thierry told me that advances were made but he was not interested so he fired you. It's okay, Olivia. All of his PAs have fallen for him or his money. I'm not mad and there's no need to be embarrassed." he mumbled, shrugging awkwardly.

"He said that! What utter bullshit!" I squeaked angrily.

I cursed that man in my head a million of times. Danny watched me carefully as I grew redder and madder.

"That's not how it went down. He initiated both of our kisses, not me. Also, he was a Class A douchebag afterwards. He fired me because he apparently lacks self control. I can't believe if even kissed back that dumbass." I scoffed, anger and hurt lacing my voice.

Danny stared at me in utter shock, eyes wide and mouth open. He composed himself before a thoughtful look came over his face. After a few moments of thinking, he bit his lip before shaking his head.

"What is it?" I asked, tired of watching his emotion roller coaster unfold.

"Well, it's just- no, forget it." he sighed.

"Danny Greene, fucking tell me before I end you." I growled.

"Thierry...Thierry has a dark past. It's not my place to tell you what happened but it messed him up bad. He's always been reserved, moody, and controlling but after the incident, it became a serious problem. He trusts no one, not even me fully. He hasn't seen his family in years. He swore long ago to never allow himself to be vulnerable ever again. To cope, he drowns himself in work." Danny whispered, sniffling and wiping away a few stray tears.
