Chapter 51: Oppurtunity of a Lifetime

A week later...
I was hanging out with Chai for the day. Gabby was with Corey so there was no one else in the apartment.

"We're watching mean girls!"
"I'm surprised we haven't been kicked out of this apartment yet."

I got popcorn and we sat down. About halfway through the film was phone was blowing up with notifications.
"Geez someone's popular"

He linked my video and I started smiling like an idiot. I know it sounded stupid because it wasn't like I was unknown but still Shawn fucking Mendes liked my cover.

I then realised I had a DM from him.
'Hey Jessie, sorry to appear out of the blue but I saw your cover of your Stitches and I watched some of your other videos and you're amazing. How would you like to come out to LA and we can talk about somethings? The costs all on me, you can bring 2 people. I've heard a lot about you, Shawn x'

'Um ok wow. Thanks a lot and yeah I can come out to LA when? X'

'3 days? Is that too soon? X'

'Nah that's fine I better get packing x'

'Can I get your number? I'll get your flights sorted and then I'll send you all the info x'

I sent him my number and thanked him.
"Chai, how do you feel about going to LA in three days?"
"I'm not even gonna ask why, I'm down"
"Cool"

'Are you busy in 3 days babe? Xxx'

'Do you wanna come to LA with me and Chai? Xxxx'

I waited for his reply.
'Fuck, I have a meeting in 3 days about my book that's really important. Why are you going to LA? Xxxx'

'Samuel, how do you feel about another getaway with Chai and I? Xx'

3 days later...
LA. It beat the cold miserable British weather. We waited for the car to arrive that was meant to be picking us up.

Shawn had also arranged somewhere for us to stay.
I'd texted him to let us know we would hear and he said the car would be here in 5 minutes.

"Hi, are you Jessie Green?"
"Yeah"
"I'm Bill your driver"
"Oh hi, let's go"

He took us to the car and Chai sat up front whilst me and Sam were in the back.

We were in the car talking to Bill and then we reached our destination.
