Chapter Thirty-Six

Start from the beginning

“She was pretty distraught when we got the news back here about your injuries.”

“Yeah that’s what her mother said. She also said that you were there for her every step of the way.”

“I do what I can sir. She is the love of my life.”

“So I take it you plan on marrying my daughter”

“That’s how I would like my future to go, sir.”

“Very well then.”

“Thank-You, sir” Jack says to my Dad as I walk back over.

“What are you two talking about?” I ask as I lean my back of Jack’s chest

“You” Jack says as soon as a few of my friends pull up.

“I guess that’s my cue to leave” Jack says

“You know, you don’t have to leave.”

‘And why not?”

“You could be here for your cousin”

“Isn’t that weird?”

“Uh no? And if people say it’s weird, just tell them that Will’s parents asked you to come because they couldn’t.”

“Hmm and this is one of the reasons why I love you”

“Remind me to ask you later on what all the reasons are”

“Sounds like a plan”

“How about we take at least one picture before everyone gets here?”

“Sure”

My mom walks over and I stand next to Jack and he puts his arm around my waist. We take a few pictures of us holding hands, him kissing my cheek and me kissing his as well has both of us kiss kissing and such.

“Hey Jess?”

“Yeah?”

“Before you go…” Jack says and he kisses me passionately on the lips. “I love you and have a great time”

“I love you too. But you do realize that I will see you there right?”

“Yeah, but I can’t do anything about it.”

“How about this. When the DJ announces the last song, look for me at the back of the ballroom and share my last prom dance with me?”

“Seriously?”

“Promise me.”

“I promise to meet you during the last song.”

“Good”

“Should we seal it with a kiss?”

“Uh of course we should” I say smiling as his lips once again connect with mine.

“Alright guys, the limos are here time to go!” My mom yells as everyone is walking towards the front yard.

I loop my arm through Will’s as he escorts me to the limo.

“So are you excited?” Will asks me as we all get into the limo.

I smile and nod “Uh yeah, it’s senior prom!” I yell and everyone cheers

The ride goes smooth and we pull up to the hotel. Everyone walks into the ballroom and the party begins.

Not too long after we all arrive is when the music starts. Will and I are on the dance floor, my arms wrapped around his neck and his hands on my hips.
