“Thanks” Will says and he turns and we take a few pictures. My mom invites everyone into the backyard for some refreshments while we wait for the rest of my group to show up for pictures. Everyone walks outside but I walk over to Jack.
“Take a picture, it’ll last longer” I say, smiling as I look up at him
“You look stunning” He whispers in complete awe.
“Thank-You”
“You’re more than welcome. I wish I could be the one who had the honor to take you”
I smile slightly and I nod. “You and me both”
“Before everything gets all hectic and your friends start arriving, I wanted to give you this” Jack says and he pulls out a long jewelry box.
“Jack, you didn’t have to”
“Yes, I did.” He says and he opens the box, revealing a gold and silver infinity necklace.
“Jack…” I say looking up at him
“Happy 9 Month Anniversary” Jack whispers as his lips gently connect with mine. I pull back slightly, resting my forehead on his, looking up into his eyes.
“It just so happens I too have something for you”
“Jess, you didn’t have too”
“Don’t give me that crap, of course I did” I say smiling. I walk into the living room and I pick up a box and I walk back over to him.
I hand Jack the box and he opens it.
“Jess, this is way too much.” He says, now looking down at the silver Rolex watch.
“It was worth it. You’re worth it” I whisper back. He takes the watch out of the box and begins to put it on.
“What’s this?”
“Oh I had it engraved”
“With the day of our first date?”
“Cheesy, I know”
“Jess, this is amazing!”
I smile, blushing a little. “I’m glad you like it”
“Like it? I love it”
“Well I’m glad you love it than.”
He smiles and carefully wraps his arms around me “I love you, more then you will ever know, Ms. Hogan”
“Phew, what a relief” I say laughing a little.
“Jess! Someone’s here to see you” My mom calls out. I look up at Jack and he shrugs his shoulders, smiling a bit.
I walk outside and I see my dad, standing there at the bottom of the steps to the deck.
“Dad?!” I ask as I walk over, wrapping my arms around his neck “What are you doing home?”
“Do you really think I’m going to miss my baby girl’s senior prom?”
I smile and hug him tighter “I’m glad you’re home, Dad”
“Me too, baby girl, me too”
Jack walks over and shakes my Dad’s hand.
“Good to see you back, Sir.”
“Good to be back”
“How is everything?”
“As of right now, everything is going good. The leg’s a little beat up, but nothing would stop me from being here with her” He says as the two of them look over to me as I’m talking to Liv and our dates.
