I'm not sure how many of y'all are aware of this, but on the 30th if June, Misty Copeland was promoted to Principal at the American Ballet Theater.
She is THE first African America female to hold this title in the 75 years of the American Ballet Theatre existence.
This makrs the second time she has made history. Her first being when she was named the first African American female to star in Swan Lake, which was mentioned in the story.
