"Thanks you guys for coming today."

"Girl why are you thanking us. Its y'all birthday celebration, of course we would be here."

"I know Maggie and you know what I mean." I shook my head.

"Yeah I know. You being proper." She joked.

"Shut up." I laughed.

The entire evening was going great. Aside from us showing pictures and talking about Hawaii, Sarah and Brian shared their honeymoon memories as well.

Hearing the doorbell ring, I excused myself and went to answer it. Opeinging the door, I smiled seeing Jay standing there.

"Hey you." We hugged.

"Hey Mist. This is for you, from me and Destiny."

"Oh thanks. Where is she?"

"At a sleep over at my aunt's place."

"The one whose birthday is today?"

"Yep. My baby girl loved her great aunt."

"Well that's great. We're all out back just relaxing. You want anything to drink?"

"I'll take a bottle water. I'm tryna cut back on the alcohol."

"Nice. You will surely see the huge change it makes."

"Says the one who was born with a wine bottle in her hand." He laughed.

"Aye!" I pointed at him. "Wine is really good for you so hush."

"There you go, getting all defensive."

"I'm not. I'm just passionate about my wine." I smiled.

Handing him his water, I stood at the island opening the gift from him and Dest.

"Hold up, let me call her. She said she wanted to see you open it."

"Mhmm."

"Yes daddy?"

"Auntie Misty bout to open her gift."

"Ouuu! Let me see."

Laughing at her excitement, I took out and envelop with a card.

"I love this card." I smiled.

"I knew you would." He chuckled, Destiny made it.

"You did Destiny?"

"Yes Auntie." She smiled.

"This arts and crafts class she's in been going really good."

"That's great."

Taking out a box, opened it to see a beautiful locket.

"Open it, open it!" She chanted.

"I am, I am." I laughed.

Gasping at the sight of the pictures with me and her, I looked up at her trying to fight my tears.

"Thank you sweet heart."

"You're welcome auntie and thank you for being you and loving me."

"Of course babe and just know I'll always will."

"Dest, she tryna fight that ugly cry like if we ain't even seen it before." Jay teased.

"Oh be quiet." I fanned him off. "Destiny don't forget our day tomorrow okay. Go ahead back to your sleepover."
