"Pietro?" Wanda snapped at me.

"Huh?" I came back to reality.

We were walking through the big sidewalks of Manhattan. We were on our way to this pizza place on Times Square. Wanda refused when I offered to carry her there. She wanted to see all the tall buildings.

"You know we could already be eating this "pizza", right?" I nudged her shoulder and gave a smile.

"Oh, brother, you have to learn to take things slow. You have to enjoy everything in life. And right now, you should enjoy this city." She nudged back and chuckled.

"Yes, of course. Although, a couple of bright colors wouldn't hurt, you know." I saw most of the buildings were either grey or brown.

"I agree. Red would be a great color to paint these buildings." Her eyes were looking up, towards the windows of the skyscrapers.

"And blue. Blue would look good." I pointed at the subway station, signaling that we should take it.

"Fine, lead the way, Pietro." I walked, and she followed behind me, grabbing my arm.

We got to the train station, and boarded a train that would lead us to Times Square. I have to say, the smell was not pleasant on this train.

"Pietro, it smells awful." Wanda pinched her nose, then buried her face on my chest.

"Don't be such a pansy, you've handled worse." We both chuckled, remembering what it was like to share a room back in Sokovia as children.

"Yes, I have handled your odors. They were not pleasant as well." She said, I just smiled at her comment.

Then, the P.A. announced that we were arriving shortly to our stop. It was already night. I checked my watch and it said it was 5:23 pm. It was November, so that would explain that.

"Here we are, come on, Wanda." I took her hand and made my way out of train. People kept pushing me, and I swear I had thought of pushing them back. The only thing in my way was Wanda, who was tightening her grip on my hand.

"Woah. Now this place has bright colors." Wanda was astonished by all the colors and lights Times Square had. This was probably her favorite place in the city. My favorite place was wherever I could run and run and run. That place was Central Park. It was humongous and I took like 2 minutes to run from one end to the other.

"Antonio's Pizza." I looked up to the neon sign. The smell coming from inside was making me so hungry. We entered, only to be greeted by a short, chubby man.

"Welcome to Antonio's Pizza! A table for two?" He asked, glancing at Wanda.

"Yes, for two." Wanda stepped forward, smiling at the man.

"Alright, this way, please." He grabbed two menus, and signaled us to follow him.
