Juan week later

Emily POV:
"Hey, Alison! Wake up!" I shout as I lean over a sleeping Alison.

I can't help but notice how peaceful and cute she looks...

I guess I have to ruin that!

"What?" She groans.

"Come on! We're going somewhere!" I tell her.

She quickly gets up and gets dressed and brushes her hair and what not, and we leave.

"Where are we going?" She asks tiredly.

Eden is sleeping in the car seat in the back.

Yes, we had to install the car seat into my car. Which took like and extra fifteen minutes or so.

Well, Alison did it. But it took forever. She couldn't figure out the stupid buckles.

Obviously someone installed it into her car for her.

Anyways, it just took up more time I could've used to get justice for Eden and Alison.

We arrive at the police stations after about ten minutes, and Alison looks at me confused.

"I care about you." Is all I say before stepping out of the car.

Alison POV:
I get Eden out of her car seat, ad walk to the doors.

Emily smiles politely at me, opens the door, and gestures me inside.

"Hello, ladies. How may I help you?" An old lady asks us.

She had cauliflower hair. No joke. And she has a gap so wide in her teeth you could drive a fucking car through it.

"Good morning. I'm Emily, and this is Alison." Emily says. "And her daughter Eden." She adds, realizing she forgot her.

"I'm Detective Tanner. What could I do for you?"

"Oh, perfect. We have a case, well, problem, we would like you to lol into." Emily tells her seriously.

Is she even going to let me talk?

"And what would that problem be?"

"Could we go somewhere more private?" I butt in.

We go into a questioning room, and Emily sits down in the chair.

She taps her feet on the ground, and looks at this Detective Tanner lady.

"So...Explain your problem." She says.

She's not acting like a Detective.

Probably because we're two teenage girls with a baby.

Emily is the first to speak.

"There's this bastard named Jake." She starts off.

My eyes widen, and I turn my head towards her. But she doesn't seem to notice.

"He...he...God, this is harder thank I thought it'd be..." She sighs.

I decide I'll say it for her.

"He forced himself on me." I say quietly.

"How long ago was this?" Tanner questions me.

"Two years. The cops tried looking for him, but couldn't."

"I'll see what I can do, but it's been two years."

"That's unreasonable and stupid. You should be doing something." Emily says out of nowhere.

Does this girl have ADHD or something?! Or Autism? What is her problem?

Tanner sighs, and pulls out her walkie-talkie.

"Could I get Foster and Powell in room 07 please?" She speaks into it.

After a few minutes, two men walk in.

"What's this?" Emily asks with a fake enthusiastic smile on her face as she points at the guys.

"Our Chief and sketcher." Tanner tells us.

We explain what's going on, and Foster asks me to describe Jake to him.

"He's about six feet tall, and he has dark blonde hair that is usually messy. He has medium sized eyes that are ocean blue, and a freckle below his left eye, one of the side, and one above it."

I show him where the freckles are, and he asks me to describe him more.

"Emily, can you take Eden? My arm is getting tired." I say to her.

She takes to sleeping baby, and cradles her in her arms.

I described Jake to Foster more intently, and Emily butts in again.

"So, he's basically a fuckboy." She says. "And an asshole."

"We aren't sure if we'll find him or not. It's been two years." Powell tells Emily.

"Actually, it happened again last month." I tell them.

"WHAT?!" Emily shrieks, and does a complete 360 to look at me.

"Why didn't you tell anyone sooner?" Powell asks me.

"Because the cops in this town are so fucking ass backwards!" I yell at them.

"We'll get right on the investigation." Tanner says.

"You better!" Emily snaps.

We sit there for a few seconds in silence before Emily speaks up again.

"Freckles around his eye?" She says quietly.

"Yes, Emily." I reply, and roll my eyes.

"Gross. That's ugly." She says, mostly to herself.

2 weeks later

Emily POV:
"ALISON!" I shout excitedly as I enter her house.

I don't even knock anymore.

"What's up, Em?" She asks.

She's in the kitchen making biscuits with Eden.

"They found Jake! And they're taking him to court next week!" I tell her.

"Really?!" She shrieks.

"Yes!" I tell her.

"Thank you so much, Emily!" She exclaims, and jumps on me.

I laugh, and pull away after a few seconds.

"I just came over to tell you that. I have to go to volleyball. Then, in two weeks, we're going to New York with the girls!" I tell her, and walk out.

Summer is half way over. We've got to enjoy the rest of it.

Alison POV:
I get Eden off of the counter, and lay her in her bed for a nap.

I go into the bathroom and open the cabinet and see my unopened box of pads and tampons.

Then it hits me like a ton of bricks.

My stomach drops, and my heart rate speeds up.

I'm late.

Really late.
