Flower Blooms
Haiku by Leila Regine T. Valdejueza

As the flower blooms,

The sweet smell provides me hope,

It helps my heart beat.

From the author:

The blooming springtime flower serves as a powerful symbol, embodying the promise of a new day brimming with hope for a brighter future. Amidst the challenges posed by the ongoing pandemic, many have found their spirits waning. Yet, witnessing individuals bravely combating for our lives reignites the flame of hope within us, urging us to persevere in this ongoing battle.

The impact of the poem resonates deeply with me, prompting a realization that, despite the current tribulations, there lies a hopeful truth. A day will come when the world's problems fade away, and once again, the resilient bloom of a flower will unite our hearts, harmonizing our beats as one. This vision serves as a poignant reminder that hope persists even in the face of adversity, offering solace and assurance of a collective resurgence.
