Ashlee's POV:
I woke up that morning, to someone sitting up at the edge of the bed, shirtless.
Bradley.
I decided to surprise him by rubbing his bare back, which was warm. Bradley turned his head, smiling at me.
"How long have you been up?" I asked him, laying my head on his shoulder.
"For a while now." Bradley yawns, and I let out a laugh.
His yawn was adorable.
"I had a fun New Year's, thanks to you." I say, making Bradley grin.
"Same."
"You're so handsome." I whispered, and he turns around, cupping my cheeks.
"You're so beautiful." He whispered back, giving me a kiss. We laid down, facing each other so we could kiss. Bradley ran his fingers through my hair, which felt great.
I sat on top of Bradley, both of his arms on each side of my leg. I rub his chest, which felt great.
"What do you want to do today?" Bradley asked me.
"Be with you all day." I grin.
"Besides that." Bradley laughs, then sitting up, me on his lap.
"How about we go to a orchestra or something before our tour in New York? I heard they have one going on tonight."
I remembered seeing a flyer about this play for Eva Mozes Kor, one of the survivors of the Holocaust. It took me back to the days when I was in 8th grade, how my favorite literature teacher was reading this book about her, which I believed was called: Surviving the Angel of Death. It was so interesting learning about the Holocaust, just surprised by how many innocent Jews were killed, and how Hitler could be such a commander to the Nazi's.
"Oh yeah, play actually. Sure, we could go to that if you want." Bradley said, giving me a kiss. He slipped on a Boston Red Sox shirt, and put on a pair of jeans with it. I decided to twin with Bradley, and put on my Boston Red Sox shirt too. He looks down, then at me, grinning.
"Looks like someone loves the Red Sox too." He teased.
"Well of course. I mean, who doesn't love the Sox?"
"Exactly."
We then headed out of the hotel. We held hands as we walked out, acting like a normal couple in love. I glanced around the hotel, noticing this hotel was exactly like the one we stayed in Boston. Before we'd start our tour in New York, Bradley took me out to a nice, peaceful coffee shop. We ordered our coffee, me getting a latte while Bradley getting a regular coffee.
"This coffee is really good." I say, after taking a sip of the coffee. Boy, this place was sure a wonderful place to just relax, and take your worries away. I even got to read a book on my kindle. When the waitress came by with the bill, Bradley reads over it, then realizing something.
"Ah, you know what. I left my wallet in the car, I'll be right back." Bradley said, leaving to go get his wallet. While waiting for Bradley, I just continued on reading the online ebook, imagining Bradley as the guy character, and me as the girl, both of us falling in love. Just then, I gotten interrupted by a guy who called,"hey."
"Huh?" I asked, frightened by his yelling. He appeared right in my face, and that's when I got a good look: the drunk guy from last night. What was he doing here?
"I wasn't finished with you, missy. Now, why'd you ditch me and leave me on the side of the streets?" He demanded.
"Because I didn't know you, and I'm too young for you, you freak!" I argued. How did he become such an ass? I gotten a hold of my kindle, getting ready to go quickly to Bradley.
Before I could get out, he grabbed my arm yanking be back towards him.
"You're not leaving me again." He yelled, spilling coffee on my shirt then shoving everything off of the table and onto the floor. Just then, Bradley came in out of nowhere, shoving him, making everyone turn their attention towards them. Bradley shoves the guy against the window, getting ready to speak.
"Don't go near my girlfriend ever again. Don't even thinking about touching her like you just did. You hear me?" Bradley ordered. Bradley looked as if he was about to kill him. Before anything else happens, a couple waitresses come to check out what was going on.
"What's going on?" One of them demanded, crossing her arms.
"I'm sorry about what happened." I apologized, and Bradley gives her the money.
"That guy over there started harassing that girl!" One of the people spoke up.
"Is that true? Looks like we are calling the police."
Before they could say anything more, Bradley quickly gets a hold of my hand, so we didn't have to deal with it anymore.
"I'm so sorry about what that guy did to you, Ashlee. You didn't deserve that at all. Next time he does that, I'm actually going to kill him." Bradley apologized, still angered by what that guy did. Man, he sure was the best boyfriend ever...
"Thanks Bradley," I looked over at my arm, having scratches from my arm when that guy grabbed it,"he spelt hot coffee on my shirt too."
"Oh, here." Bradley opens his trunk, handing me his Patriots hoodie.
How sweet of him...
I put it over my coffee stained shirt,(which was quite big on me) and give him a kiss.
"Thanks for being such a hero." I thanked him.
"Ashlee, I will always be your hero. Whenever you fall, I'll always be the one to catch you," Bradley says,"always."
When he said the word always, it took me down back to memory lane. It was the first time he tweeted me. One day when I logged onto twitter, I noticed Bradley was replying to fans again! Thinking of something to tweet him, I randomly took out the pic for the new Mighty Med episode, and tweeted with it,"Are you excited for the new episode of Mighty Med?" Then that's when he replied to me, actually replied to me,"always."
Getting out of my thoughts, Bradley, like I predicted he would, opened the car door for me.
"Time to start our tour." He gave a reassuring smile, and I gave a shy smile back. When he got in the car, he started playing 5SOS music. What was weird, was that he never did this in the car before. Ever. I thought it was cool though he accepted me for being such a fan of 5SOS. Fan of anything, really. He drove us to our first place to tour, which was the Statue of Liberty.
"I always wanted to visit the Statue of Liberty!" I exclaimed.
"This is actually the first time I visited the Statue of Liberty. I guess I always wanted to take one of my girlfriends there with me." Bradley admitted.
"Well, it's beautiful. Thank you." I kissed him, and pull away, still holding him.
"Not as beautiful as you. I mean, you're the statue of beauty." He flirted.
"And you're are the statue of sexiness." I flirted back, making him laugh.
"Thank you, though." He smiles. Since I wanted to draw the Statue of Liberty, Bradley was fine with us sitting on the bench so I could focus on it better. As I flipped through the pages of my sketchbook, I came to some of the drawings I did of Boston, and flipped to a drawing I made of Bradley a couple years ago.
"Woah, I remember that. That was really good. I always remembered thinking you were my favorite because of your art skills and editing skills, just how creative you are." Bradley remembered, looking at my sketchbook, smiling.
"And you noticed that too." I smiled.
"Of course I did,I had too It was so good."
It's funny how a year later can change everything. One year ago I was sitting at home, hoping Bradley would notice the artwork and made sure it was good enough. Now here I am, dating Bradley, and he's viewing my artwork. Awesome, right?
After handing me the sketchbook, I found a clean page, thinking it's almost my last page of the sketchbook. I only had a couple more pages left! So I drew the Statue of Liberty, then got the colored pencils out of my bag, coloring the Statue of Liberty. Like that, BAM. I was finished.
"Your shading is really good, Ashlee." Bradley complimented, gazing at my artwork.
"Thank you, it took me a while to get good at it. I guess it really did pay off." I start smiling, thinking he was right. This artwork did turn out really good after all.
"You only have two more pages left." Bradley reminded, reading my mind. He looked concerned, knowing my situation of confusion of what to draw.
"It'll be fine, I'll just save them." I reassured, and he nodded.
"Okay, well as long as you're fine with it." Bradley says. We then went off to our next tour. We toured the strawberry fields, and saw the imagine sign. Now I couldn't help but take a picture of this. I mean, it was John Lennon related! I loved the Beatles, which included John. I sent it to my mom and dad,who were big fanatics of the Beatles. I even remembered one year when my mom and I gotten my dad the entire cd box set for my father. Heck, he sure enjoyed it!
"How about you draw that? That would look pretty cool." Bradley advised, and I nodded in response. I quickly drew the strawberry fields, coloring it in black and white this time, which looked pretty cool.
"That looks so good," Bradley complimented, and I allow him to gaze at it once again.
For our next tour, we viewed the sphere, which was beautiful when viewing it up close. It was so shiny, I could even see me and Bradley's in the reflection of the sphere.
"Even the sphere is pointing out your beauty." Bradley pointed out, and I blush.
While there, some nearby fans took pics with us. This made my day so much. Making fans happy and other people happy made me happy. I admired happy people. After meeting fans, we planned our next tour place.
Bradley and I walked on the High bridge, which was romantic since he held my arm. We stopped walking so we could face each other. I wrapped my arms around his neck, and his around my waist, then he pulls me in to kiss him. We pull away, but still close to each other. We stared into each other's eyes, both smiling.
"Your eyes are doing that thing I love. You know, where they are sparkly." Bradley whispered.
"Well, usually my eyes are sparkly around the boy I love." I smile.
"Well, that's one of the things I love about you, the girl I love. I love everything about you-your personality, hair, eyes, face. Everything you can think of."
He pulls me in a hug again, then kisses my forehead. I almost died in his arms, you could say.
"I love everything about you too." I say, my voice muffled in his shoulder.
We hugged for a long time. We pull away, then go to the next place to tour. On this tour, I heard my stomach growling.
"You hungry?" Bradley asked me.
"Yes." I answered.
"How about after this we get some food? I know a perfect place to eat at." Bradley grinned, and I nod. We visited the Brooklyn Superhero Supply store, instantly thinking of Mighty Med.
"Reminds me some place Kaz and Harmonie would tour at." I commented, looking around at the superhero costumes.
"Oh, look! There's Captain America shields." Bradley grinned, using it along with the glasses. Bradley wanted to take a pic, which we do. After we were done with the store, Bradley picked up something from Arby's, and he took me to probably one of the most beautiful places I've ever been so far in New York: Greenacre Park. We sat across from each other at one of the tables, and ate together here. I couldn't help but watch the waterfall.
"This is really beautiful,Bradley." I admitted, gazing into his eyes, then at the waterfall.
"I know." He agreed. After we were done eating, we sat together here, watching the waterfall. I took a picture, which turned out perfect. While I was on Instagram, I liked Bradley's photo of me and him. I looked at it, seeing the picture of us in a collage. We were twinning in our Red Sox shirts on the bottom, and us twinning for Captain America on top. I read the comment, beginning to smile.
He had said: "Twinning with someone you love is probably the most awesome thing in the world to experience. Go #CaptainAmerica and #RedSox.⚾️❤️"
"That's a good pic,Bradley." I complimented, taking a screenshot.
"I know right." He agreed. He then looked at his watch, his eyes widen.
"Oh, we only have an hour left til the play." Bradley says, taking a hold of my hand. He drove us back to the hotel, where I quickly changed into something nice. I changed into a nice black shirt with a black&white floral skirt, and leggings underneath. I slipped on my black boots, and was ready to go. I noticed Bradley was in a suit and tie,(which I loved) looking handsome and elegant as ever.
"You look nicer than me." I pointed out to him.
"Thanks, and you look stunning." Bradley complimented. Before we headed out, Bradley put over my jacket for me.
How did he become such a gentleman?
We went out to the play, which Bradley then bought the tickets. We sat in the front since we were early, and guess who I see:
Eva Mozes Kor, the real Eva.
She gave a speech before the performance, saying that she, herself directed the play for us to understand the events better, and actually see what it was like during the times. That was sweet of her to do so. After going back to her seat, the play begins to start. During the play, Bradley laid a hand on my knee, and I stared at him. I laid a hand over his, and turn my attention back to the play.
It started out when little Eva and Miriam were taken from their mother, then learning how to survive in Auschwitz for the rest of the play. During the parts when Dr.Mengele was doing the experiments, and Eva calling out for Miriam, a tear streamed down my cheek. I laid onto Bradley's shoulder, for comfort. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder. During the gruesome moments, I dug my head in his shoulder. I hated the Holocaust.. Time passed, then the play was over. The play turned out really good towards the end, which me,Bradley, and everyone else stood up to applaud. What a good play I watched! After the performance, I even got to meet Eva too, which was a pleasure!
"I loved the play you directed." I complimented, smiling.
"Thank you, thank you!" She spoke, hearing some of her accent. I had Bradley take a picture of me and her together, since I told him in the beginning of the play I would love it if I got a picture with her. After that, we went back to the hotel room. When I changed into my Pj's along with Bradley, we sat together on the bed.
"That was such a good play." I said to him.
"I know," he agreed,"I remember learning about her in school."
"Really? Same for me. I visited her memorial church once. It was a wonderful experience." I remembered, smiling. It was so kind of her to do that. Bradley then grins, and goes to the fridge.
"What are you doing?" I asked him, wondering what he was doing. He gotten out two wine glasses, pouring cranberry juice in it. He gave one to me, and another one to himself.
"In honor of our first wonderful day together in 2016. And to many more, babe." Bradley said, and we clink our glasses, then drinking it. After drinking the rest of our cranberry juice, I gave him a kiss.
"I love you." He whispered.
"I love you too." I whispered back. I laid down beside Bradley, his arms wrapped around me. I couldn't help but smile. Smile because it was now the year 2016. Meaning, I would be spending many more days with him.

And I was looking forward to it. You can sure bet on that.
