Ishita didn't care to wipe away the mist from her eyes, she clamped her hand on her mouth to stop her sobs. "I would never be able to forgive myself if something happened to you, Raman." She only managed to whisper, trying hard not to cry. The mention of hypertension and chest pain was enough to rose worries in her mind. The fights and mistrusts are other issues but she never wanted him to suffer because of her. Raman means a lot to his family, if something happen to him then his parents would never be able to withstand the same. The tears continued to stream down from ishita's cheeks making Raman worrier. He embraced her in a possible tight hug and patted her head, "You should have told me, Raman." Ishita spoke in a whisper a tone, feared with the worst possible scenario.
"I am fine site. My health issues are nothing compared to what you bore. It's your health that worries me." Raman didn't hesitate a bit to hug her this time, she against him makes him feel better.
"I would never be able to forgive myself if something major happened." She chanted the same lines, again and again, afraid of don't know what.
"We destroyed us enough Ishita, if the mere idea of staying away from each other can create so much ruckus then I am afraid thinking about the possibilities of our split." He didn't want to part with her at any cost, especially when they are going through so much. Raman has his reasons when he said the same words but one of the major reasons was his wish to give this marriage one fair chance.
"It's not easy Raman, we have so many issues." Ishita bit her lower lip, in a dilemma to share her fears with him or to remain quiet.
"These issues are not big than our marriage Ishita. We can work on those only if we decide to stay together." Their faces grew closer and Ishita dared to look into her husband's eyes, wondering if it was the right time to ask him about the woman who claimed to be his lover or about the multiple women his name linked in the past months.
"I don't want to force you for anything, the choice is entirely yours but I want you to think about it." Raman caressed her cheekbone with the pad of his thumb, trying to read her emotions behind her dark black orbs. He was afraid to wonder about her reaction, a part of him wanted to share the truth about Samaira but her reaction scared him equally. She believes every man is like her father, what if she joined two things together and draw a new conclusion? What if she decides to leave him again?
The possibilities were unending, and his desperation looked no less.
"This marriage means slot for me, Raman, maybe I never told you but... it's the truth. I am scared because.....
Are you seeing someone else?" Ishita strengthened her heart as she finally dared to ask the question that nagged her for so long. She kept looking at Raman, trying to find any sort of discomfort on his face, which she saw none.
"You're talking about the night of Annual Day, right? She is a stupid female nothing else. We all know how are females nowadays, attention seekers. She is just one. If you would listen to me once then this issue would be settled that day only Ishita."
Ishita blinked her eyes recalling Mihika's words, who told her something the same. Mihika would not lie to her, and Raman's words matched hers. This time she didn't hate being wrong, a relief spread through her veins and she looked at another side.
"Don't think much Ishita, we can not let our past affect our present and future." Raman remained determined to convince his wife, he knew his words lessened her worries and anxiety. A few seconds later Raman saw Ishita rubbing her forehead, he scooped her in his arms, taking her in surprise, and walked towards the bed. "Take rest. We will talk about it later." He forwarded her medicines which she gulped without creating any fuss. Ishita too insisted he complete his medicine dose which he obliged happily.
