XG 75 - Fear was one of the powerful emotions that could kill her.

"The alarm stopped," Ash whispered, his eyes darting around everyone's faces.

Kang Xunsu sat down, leaning his back on the wall. His gun was resting on his lap, ready to be used if the newcomers dared to do anything. "Take a short break for now. After that, we will clean up outside."

Chen Yibo translated to Kang Hansik since Oh Junghan nodded to express his understanding of the English language. As for Man Jeong, he had not eased his fear, keeping his head down and unknown whether he understood English or not.

Kang Hansik wanted to scold them for being crazy, but he swallows back his words when he remembers his buddies that were hiding outside. While he was glad they were smart to run into hiding quickly, he still scolds them for not waiting for him and causes them to go separate ways. Even if he was afraid, he still needs to check on them, especially when he will need to answer their parent's accusing questions if they failed to survive.

Tsk, why don't their controlling parents die? Then they can do whatever they want!

Kang Hansik does not know that Wong Xue Guo's group had come out here with training practice as their secondary purpose so they would choose to fight the group of zombies instead of running if they can handle them. They might as well go out and fight and at the same time open their path to exit.

They will need to clear out space if they intend to search for more supplies along the street full of shops, as the whole box of instant noodles was mostly in Do Eunhyuk's stomach.

Kim Sung-Ho still remembers he and Ash had faced a similar situation, where they were hiding inside a storage room with zombies banging on their door. They could only escape without much difficulty thanks to Vihaan's newly awakened ability.

That was the first time Kim Sung-Ho saw how easily the zombies were dealt with. Just a single touch and they turned into ashes. The military force surrounding the building was so shocked seeing Vihaan's deadly touch that they failed to react in time to stop Suzie Yap from bringing them away.

Even if their current group of people does not have any supernatural ability, they still make him feel safe, likely due to the number of people with him.

After a short discussion, only Do Eunhyuk, Lee Su-Hwa, and Yuna will stay in the room. Ash was also told to stay back with the walkie-talkie. He did not protest, knowing that he would be better to continue hiding.

"Ash, make sure Mr. Do continues eating," Wong Xue Guo said. They could have randomly grabbed one of the zombies outside to bite Do Eunhyuk, but their current environment was not safe enough to do that.

If their situation becomes worse, Do Eunhyuk needs to be awake and run with them.

Slowly turning the doorknob, Kang Xunsu peered a single eye out and only saw two zombies that happened to be facing another way. He could not see the other way, as the bedrooms were facing a wall, where the other side of the wall would be the cashier. The owner of this building purposely designed the lot this way so that they could have their private area separated from the shop.

After telling the others what he saw, and updating the number of zombies from what he could see, L.L. nodded, telling him to move out.

Adding in a silencer onto his gun, Kang Xunsu quickly moves out of the room, sticking his back onto the wall, and takes down the zombies in his sight. L.L. moved out next, facing the other direction, and checked if the third door, also the bathroom, was clear.

L.L. stayed guard at the back and waited until the rest came out of the room. Lee Su-Hwa locked the door once they left, gripping onto a hammer tightly in anxiety.

Yuna's bedroom remained closed, as they had purposely done so because it was stinky and abusing their nose. Kang Xunsu spied and counted at least twenty zombies who had entered the shop lot. His current position does not allow him to see outside the road but could guess there would be more waiting outside. Once they started fighting, those from the outside would rush in.

"They don't seem to be very active," Wong Xue Guo whispered to Chen Yibo, who nodded in agreement.

The zombies inside the shop do not seem to be as aggressive as those from Diamond Shopping Mall. Not only that, they smell terrible, like rotten flesh, not that they look any better. There was even a zombie that was very popular with flies, likely to be the stinkiest among its groupmates.

Would they later have worms crawling out of their skulls? Wong Xue Guo shivers in disgust just thinking about it.

They were at the third lot of the minimarket and they had to kill until they reached the first lot.

"Kill by row," Kang Xunsu advised. He took the lead and started shooting the zombies once he stepped out behind the wall's protection. His gun was indeed more quiet than without a silencer, but it will still have some noise.

Perhaps during the winter, the zombies got a little lazier. But even in their less aggressive state, their enthusiasm towards fresh meat was the same as always.

Kang Hansik was a competitive person and seeing Kang Xunsu with so many headcounts, he started to get bolder. The only useful part on his baseball bat that could kill the zombies was the sharp nails, and he repeatedly hit any zombies he saw.

Half covered with blood and unmentionables, Kang Hansik was proud of himself, which lasted until he glanced around. The smug grin on his face slipped off when he saw Kang Xunsu and L.L. were not the only noticeable fighters in the group.

Especially the little couple with facemask and fancy sword. The guy was wielding a sword with his right hand, while his left was occupied with a gun. He used both weapons at the same time, with no signs of being tangled like how normal people would be when they need to do two different things with each hand simultaneously.

The nerdy female with half of her face hidden underneath her mask was no less scary either. Her sword was sharp and deadly, piercing every zombie's heart accurately just like a seasoned murderer.

Chen Yibo and Wong Xue Guo had worked hard in training themselves whenever they got the time, treating it as their responsibility and job. Between the duo, it was Wong Xue Guo with the most noticeable changes as Chen Yibo had trained even before the apocalypse.

To the inexperienced eye of Kang Hansik, Wong Xue Guo looked like a seasoned warrior, but this was actually her second time facing a hoard of zombies.

Her hands could not help but shake nervously when facing the zombies head-on, thinking her mother was right. The practical practice could only bring her this far. If she does not get used to facing the zombies, she will not be able to unleash her full potential like how she was during the training.

Fear was one of the powerful emotions that could kill her.

Perhaps her mother knew Wong Xue Guo was easily satisfied with her current accomplishment and thus suggested she go out and 'see the world' to understand her little improvement was not enough.

Luckily for her being sensible in agreeing with her mother's words, or it will be her blind confidence that kills her.
