Holiday Mayhem

The history of the Holiday's stem. My family's condemn, it had the prettiest gem
I put on the diadem. The start of a holiday mayhem
Everyone applauds my birthright as not a single grim face is in sight
I look up and see the day change to night. The Artemis light changed like its height

It got closer and closer, a moment so heartfelt. It felt like a welt from Orion's belt
The frozen sea is starting to melt, I did what I could with what I was dealt
The earth is starting to float. Like a bubble in a river, it is just a boat
Closer and closer, we start to change and gloat. The earth, too, started to emote

The waters dance to and fro, creating ripples in the sandy snow
Something's coming from down below. I see but a faint glow
From one to three, the boats I see
Sailing towards me. From the depths of the sea

The winter winds blow south to indicate the fall another of star
People come from near and far. Warm welcomes to all, no matter from where they are
They gather at the plaza to look at how the festival unfolds to new highs
As the brightest star fell from the darkest night skies...
