A well-earned and respected love
She finds herself between a rock and a hard place
A little note. The miracle she saw tied to the leg of a dove
It was nothing but lies. A trick fell with grace

Everything starts as gold. It decays and becomes just dust
The dreams of the world are paid in lives
The passion one has for something, the balance of pain and love is just
Eventually, it runs out. It dulls out and misery thrives

She had a dream, she had the means
Sacrifice all for those in need and, in return, something else
Gardens ever in the greens
An opportunity is easier to reshape when it melts

Since birth. Humanitarian by nature, a monster by force
Conquest, destruction, and power came at a price
Her stability for freedom and a change of course
She challenged the king in a throw of a dice

A new life for her people and those she oppressed
Or and early end for treason
The battle begins, ideals are put to the test
Either way, she becomes a pillar for a new world. A change of season

Hard fought, battle-tempered, blood-soaked
A world constructed from the ground up
Something evoked
Love and respect for the soul of a higher-up

From then onward, she tried to escape the shame. The people's second chance self-denied
A loser that tried to carry the weight of the world on her shoulders and was crushed by it
Everyone still loved her, still respected her for what she tried
They said to her: "This is how it's always been. We will be fine. It's time to admit and quit"

A painful, almost regretful, goodbye
An inescapable urge to help those in need. A sinking complex
A man approaches. Both, travelers with a common cry
Pulled from a dark mind, but tied down (deep down), she still honors her codex
