With furrowed eyebrows Sameera spoke
"Mayank? Why are you crying kid."

He was sitting hunched up with is knees pressing to his chest. Sameera noticed pages and colours lying around him. He lifted his head slightly, wondering whose voice it is. As soon as he saw her, his mood dampened more. After all she was a stranger.

"Go away."
He spoke and Sameera rolled her eyes.

"Old man I'll talk to you later."

She spoke on her phone, remembering she hasn't hung up yet. He replied with a simple okay. Shrithik was never the one to fuss. And he also heard that someone was crying.

She took cautious steps towards him and noticed that the pages held ruined drawings. She chuckled. So this was why he was crying. She remembered, that she also cried when she couldn't draw or do something.

She then quietly spoke, faking a sad voice
"Okay. If you want me to leave then I will. But I was really hoping that I could help. You know I draw well."

Saying this she started leaving.

"You can draw?"
She smiled to herself and turned around, nodding.
Mayank looked down. Hesitating a little he asked

"Will you....um...help me?"

"Of course little boy. Now tell me what do we have to do?"
Saying this she went towards him and wiped his tears. Mayank got up from the bed and picked up his iron man bag from the ground. He took out a page from it and handed it to Sameera.

"Activities:

Sameera looked up from the paper and asked

"You...have to do all this?"
Mayank nodded. His eyes once again started watering and his lips quivered

"Will you not help me?"

"Of course I will."
She sat on her knees so she could be on his eye level.

"But first tell me, why isn't your mum or dad or any other brother or sister helping?"

Mayank looked down.
"Mumma and papa had work so I didn't ask them. Jay Bhaiya went with papa. And Madhu did was also busy and she had mehndi on her hand. So I didn't ask anybody."

Sameera smiled softly at him. This kid was not as bad as she thought.

"Okay. Come on now. Tell me what should we do first."

Mayank's face lit up.
"We can start by drawing. We have to do only two of them."

Sameera nodded. Standing up she looked at the mess on the bed. Collecting all the ruined papers she dispersed them in the dustbin.
Mayank gave her all the colours and papers along with pencils and erasers.
