My eyes opened to see the cascading light of dawn filter through my curtains. Oftentimes, I found the morning to be beautiful... but none such beauty as this. I sat up, stroking Truffle who was still snoozing. The only thing I could think about with any success was Severus.
I got dressed and ready for the day, going about my morning routine as I normally would. Seldom was I expecting the knock that arrived at my door. Truffle squeaked and skidded to the door, jumping around like a maniac.
"Alright, alright! Merlin, Truffle." I picked up my hyper pet and opened the door to see Severus. My face immediately melted into a smile. "Hey, Sev. What's up?"
"I'm doing something crazy, like you said," he replied, kind of strained like he was battling off major embarrassment.
"Oh? And what have you decided on?"
Sev rubbed his neck anxiously. "Honestly, I hadn't thought this far ahead. My plan ended at 'knock on the door'."
"Is knocking on my door crazy?" I asked. "Come on, surely you had something crazy in mind."
