How to learn sagundhyan yoga after sitting properly?

Lord Shri describes how to select pure seat and how to sit properly for concentration. Now he explains Arjun how to do Upasana of SagunSwaroop. Our senses are tempted to sansar and they are the cause of birth and death on this earth.ASadhak who can control them can do meditation comfortably. Yoga Sutra says as:

DRASHTANUSHRAVIKVISHAY VITRUNASYA VASHIKAR SANGYA VAIRAGYAM l

A Sadhak who is not attached to any type of happiness about which he has heard , seen ,r known or

Experienced by his nature and who has control over his body and senses, mind and intellect can do meditation. To remain detached from sansar a sadhak has to pass through four stages. The first stage is YATMAN which means a Sadhak should try to stop his mind pushing towards perishable worldly Padarth that could be enjoyed by senses. The second is VYATIREK which means that there are perishable luxurious worldly pleasures that fascinates you and you try to cut off your senses forcefully from them and then step by step you feel detachment to them.EveryPadarth has different level of attraction and you become well aware of their power so that you can control your senses. The third is that AEKENDRIYA in which you can control your body and senses using your good and diverted intellect to Paramatma hence your senses would be cool and calm. But you are still not able to control your mind.Your mind is disturbed at this stage as it is full of attachments and envy. The fourth stage is VASHIKAR which is the final stage for the preparation of meditation. At this stage a Sadhak is not attracted by any Padartha. His senses become calm and cool. His mind becomes free from attachment and envy.He becomes free bird from fromsansar and he can now concentration on Paramatma being VIMUKTATMA.A person who is free from envy and jealousy is VIMUKTATMA.A person who does not want or think about worldly gains as name and fame, wealth and prosperity but thinks about accomplishment in yoga and meditation only to enjoy ecstasy in the company of Lord Krishna is VIMUKTATMA

When a person becomes free from attachment and envy, he becomes cool and calm inwardly. He becomes free from all the complexity of joy and sorrow, jealousy and envy and hence the peace of mind can be achieved automatically. When a person becomes free from worldly complexity and duality , his accomplishment in the pleasure of peace could be achieved on his own.As Shimada Bhagavat says:

NA JATU KAM: KAMANAMUPABHOGEN SHAMYATI l

HAVISHA KRUSHNAVATMEVI BHUYA AEVABHIVARDHATE l l

Our desires to enjoy worldly things through our body and senses are the root cause of our rebirth and death. This desire creates attachment and this attachment is a great enemy and obstacle on the path of yoga of any kind Bhakti yoga, Gyan yoga or Karma yoga. When our mind becomes free from all the events and things , persons and places true knowledge emerges and a person could achieve Samadhi .When a person thinks about sansar, he can enjoy spiritual accomplishment and eternal happiness or peace of mind .Hence a Sadhak should remain detached to all the desires and attachments .Yoga Sutra says as :

TATPARAM PURUSHARAKHATERGUNAVAITRUSHNAM

The highest stage of VAIRAGYA detachment to sansar is a situation of mind where a Sadhak feels Paravairagya because he is now well aware of existence of Paramatma by his knowledge and he becomes free from all the virtues as satva, Rajas and Tamas and free from them.

A Sadhak should think that sansar is perishable.

ANITYAM ASUKHAM DU:KHALAYAM SHASHVTM .

Our body has to face thousand of diseases .Our body is full of blood and flesh is created to suffer from diseases if we cannot try to achieve the real destination of accomplishment of Paramatma .A Sadhakshould think that;

YEHI SAMSPARSHAJA BHOGA : DUKHA: YONAVA AEV TE I

This body is full of dirt and it has to suffer from thousand types of diseases and they create pain and sorrow. The fascination to the worldly happiness creates lots of unhappiness in the end in the form of various diseases.

JANM DUKHM JR DUKH JY DUKHAM PUN: PUNA: I

Everything birth ,death, old age, wife, children, parents, brothers ,friends, wealth create attachment and gives unhappiness . Lord shri Krishna says to be VIGTBHI: to become fearless .When a Sadhakfrees himself from all the perishable worldly things and persons, he could be fearless. When a Sadhak thinks his body as his own , he suffers from fear of diseases and humiliation, death and old age but when he remains detached , he could be fearless. He now thinks that he is not a body but a part of eternity and hence whether a body lives or dies, it does not make any difference to him as his concentration lies only in Paramatma.

GATISTAVM GATISTAVAM GTISTAVAM BHAVANI I

and he could remain in Brahmachariyavratstitha:I which means that just as a pupil does not do anything without the permission of Guru, life of a Dhyan yogiSadhak would be controlled and he would be detached to all the five senses and detached to words, beauty, touch, odours and interest. He would be free from respect and honour. He would be detached to luxuries and comforts of his body .A dhyan yogi would be free from all the eight ;his five senses, mind , intellect and pride of body.

His intellect becomes free from BHOGA and RAS of senses. Though he utilize every Padarthato maintain his existence but he utilize them only by his NIRVAH BUDDHI . To be steady means a Dhyan yogi should be steady in every situation in every position of body and mind, all the time of joy or sorrow.

ASHAYA BADHYTE LOKO KARMANA BAHU CHINTAYA I

AAYU: KSHYAYAM NA JANATI TASMAT JAGRUT JAGRUT II

Our mind is full of hopes and desires, worries and bondage towards things and persons but with the passing of time everyday our life's time is decreasing and we have to surrender to death one day. Hence awakening is essential PatanajaliMaharshi says that for a knowledgeable person everything related to sansaris full of sorrow.Generally our mind thinks about either past or worries about future.ADhyana yogi should think that he cannot change past or he should have faith in his karma and on Paramatma and he should not worry about future but he should concentrate on Paramatmain his presertime. When a Dhyan Yogi does practice to concentrate on Paramatma only while doing his work while wandering here and there in sans,.he could concentrate his mind in solitude when he tries to practice meditation.ASadhak should concentrate only and does not think about sansar so that he could be free from AASURI SAMPATI of his mind.

Then let's learn how to be free from AASURI Sampati of our mind from our great God and Guru Lord shri Krishna...
