(180) How to purify our self for karma yagna?

AAVARANASYANIVRUTTIRBHAVATI CHA SAMYAKPADARTHA DARSHANATA: I
MITHYAGYANVINASHSTADVADVIKSHEPAJANITDU:KHA NIVRUTI: II
(Vivek Chudamani /348)

Aadi Shankaracharyaji says in his vivek chudamani that when consciousness of a Sadhak is awakened by knowledge and ignorance is destroyed totally , he becomes free from sansar. When a Sadhak sees himself in everybody and Paramatma in everything his shell of ignorance is removed and his worldly fake knowledge is destroyed and all the pain and sorrow that sansar can produce for a common man is demolished by a Sadhak. When we know that what we think as a serpant in the darkness of night is just a rope all the three shells are destroyed .We know them as Aavaran, vikshepa and Bandh just as a gold turned to ornament in the company of fire on heating, our intellect which is involved in words, touch, beauty, interest and smell through our senses turns into the instruments of entertaining them. This dialemma is created by intellect because we see it as we seen in dream while sleeping. Our pride and ego and all the karma of body are functions of nature as they go om changing constantly but our sad never accept any change. It is a swaroop of Paramaatma as SAT ,CHIT and ANAND.A knowledgeable person can differentiate between truth and untruth and advises his own mind and intellect, controls his senses and try to concentrare himself within , in search of Paramatma. When he does meditation all the obstacles created by his mind and intellect as doubt, alternatives, confusion are demolished as it is described in Mundakopanished as :

BHIDYATE HRADAYGRANTHI: CHHIDYANTE SARPASANSHAYA: I
KSHIYANTE YASYA KARMANI TASMIN DRASHTE PARAVARE II (2/2/8)

When a knowledgeable person tries to keep away all three MAL,VIKSHEPA and AAVARAN, his heart becomes pure. All the attachment to his body and senses, mind and intellect is destroyed. Our body never says us that 'I am yours and you are mine' but we think that this body is 'I AM'.This thought is full of illusion of our intellect

MAMATA MAL JARI JAI

(Ramcharit Manas 7/117 K )

When a Sadhak becomes free from pride and ego, attachment and emotions , feelings for worldly things and persons his heart becomes pure as :

TVAMHAMIDAMITIYAM KALPANA BUDDHIDOSHAT
PRABHAVATI PARAMATMANYADVAYE NIRVISHESHE I
PRAVILASATI SAMAYAVASYA SARVO VIKALPO
VILAYANAMUPAGACHCHHED VASTUTATTVAVADHRUTYA II

(Vivek Chudamani/ 355)

An ignorant person indulges in duality of self and Paramatma soul.He thinks God as you and his own self as 'I'. This sense of duality creates confusion on the road of salvation but when a Sadhak knows that he is a part of Paramatma and BRAHMASMI ,I am Brahma', he could enjoy company of Sat chit Anand swaroop of Paramatma for all the time.If we accept the authority and ownership of God on our body and senses, mind and intellect,a little bit attachment still dwells in our heart. When can be free totally from all the attachment, we can be pure. Pride is a sin of attachment. When Pride of Possession and ego of doer are demolished, a karma yogi can concentrate on doing his karma yagna.

Until a person abandons desire of fruit from his karma he could not remain free from the cycle of rebirth.Hence a karma yogi does his karma for others and he could abondonhis entire desire of fruits of karma and when he involves in his karma yagna , his attachment to sansar is destroyed totally as :

AARURUDHORMUNEYOGAM KARMAKARANAMUCHYATE
(Bhagavat Gita 6/3)

As he involves in doing karma for others , his heart becomes more and more pure. If a Sadhak tries to clean his heart which is enveloped by three shells of Aavaran, Vikshepa and Bandh, he could not make him pure because the attachment to heart remains as it is.The desire that 'Let me clean my heart ,I wold be there and when there is a desire for anything it shows attachment to that things. This attachment is the cause of impurity of heart. Hence Lord Krishna explains Arjun that he should be free from attachment to make his heart pure .He advises Arjun to be ANASAKTA free from desires and attachment because a karma yogi never does any karma for his own selfish interest. He does karma for other nature. When a karmayogi does karma for others, he would be free from attachment and desires and his heart would be pure.

When a Sadhak does karma with expectation of fruits , he would be involved in the bondage of his karma. His desire of getting fruit from his karma creates attachment to his karma but a karma yogi does karma and abandons his desires of fruits hence he would be able to get the peace of mind.

When we say to abandon the fruit of karma , we mean that a Sadhak could not escape from the fruits of his karma but he has to abandon desire of fruit. It means that a karma yogi should not do anything to entertain his body and senses , mind and intellect.

Whenever a person does his karma , he feels happiness in doing that karma and secondly he gets result of his karma.A karma yogi abandons both the fruit of his karma .He does his karma without desiring anything or becoming happy or sad while he was doing that karma. NISHKAM KARMA and he would not expect anything as a result, reward or fruit of his karma.A karma yogi thinks that ' Nothing is mine,I do nothing for me' I do not want anything in doing any karma and this is known as NISHKAM KARMA>

We have our fate according to our Sanchit karma ,We get birth in different bodies according to our karma. In every different birth , we accumulate bundles of new karma and new fruits of those karma appears before us but when a karma yogi abandons desire of fruits of his karma becomes Akarma .If he does karma for the welfare of others his selfless karma could make him free from his old past karma deeds and he could be free from the cycle of rebirth ,have four types of karmafal DRASHTA< ADRASHTA, PRAPTAand APRAPTA.When we do karma in present time and we get its frit immediately ,it is known as a DRASHTA fruit of KArama for example we drink water and as a fruit of our karma of drinking water , our thirst is quenched immediately. When we do karma in present time but it becomes our Sanchit karma and we do not get its fruits immediately but in future it would be ADRASHTA karmafal. When we do our karma in present time but get its fruits in the form of our fate as we get birth in various bodies, caste, society. We have parents and relatives, favourable and unfavourable sitations , prosperity or poverty in our life ,it is known as PRAPTA KARMAFAL and when our karma fal is pending as our destined karma for future in the form of favour or unfavour, facilities or obstacles are APRAPTA KARMAFAL and they are depend on our KRIYAMAN KARMA . To abandon desires of karma fal means not to be obstinate fr DRASHTA farmafal, not to show happiness or sorrow , not to expect ADRASHTA KARMAFAL in the future, not to remain attach to any karmafal and not to think about being happy or sad on getting or losing anything as a fruit of our karma.Generally people do karma to get power, prestige, prosperity, status but a karma yogi abandons every desire and attachment while doing his karma but karma yogi abandons every desire and attachment while doing his karma. The question is if we do not want anything why should we do any karma?

Let's understand from our great God and Guru Lord SHRI Krishna ...
