Clair stopped the car in front of a small light yellow house, she looked in the backseat to see Dizzy was asleep on Shawn’s shoulder. “Wake her up, can't keep her forever Shawn.” Clair chuckled softly.

“I know.” Shawn shook her slightly, Dizzy rubbed her eyes.

“Where are we?” she yawned, stretching her arms.

“Your house,” Shawn replied, helping her out of the car.

“How do you know where I live?” Dizzy questioned.

“I am a cop, I know everything,” Shawn answered in a purposely creepy tone.

Dizzy laughed, “alright, mister cop.” Dizzy took out her keys, “can I get you something to drink? Just as a thank you for not arresting me.”

He looked back at the car to see Clair randomly singing to some song on the radio, “if you and your girlfriend need to leave-”

“She’s not my girlfriend.” Shawn laughed, walking into her house.

The house is equipped with an old-fashioned kitchen and one small bathroom, it also has a warm living room, two bedrooms, a snug dining room, and a roomy garage.

The building is shaped like a circle. The house is partially surrounded by wooden overhanging panels on two sides.

The second floor is bigger than the first, which creates a stylish overhang around the entire house. This floor follows the same style as the floor below.

The roof is low, triangular, but one side is longer than the other and is covered with black roof tiles.

Two small chimneys poke out the center of the roof. Several long, thin windows let in plenty of light to the rooms below the roof.
The house itself is surrounded by a gorgeous garden with many hidden lights that make the garden come to life at night.

“Nice home, must have cost a fortune.” Shawn chuckled. “Big Brother and I split the rent.” Dizzy poured him a drink, the two sitting at the bar. “Who’s this Big Brother you speak of so much?” Shawn tilted his head slightly.

“He’s not really my big brother, we just call each other that, he’s basically a big brother to me.” Dizzy stirred her drink slowly, “we were orphans. Our parents weren’t the best, I was basically a pack mule for drug deals and Big Brother, he was worse…”

Shawn rested her hand on his, “I’m sorry...I hope you know they won't hurt you anymore.”

Dizzy nodded and continued “my parents ran a drug cartel, they basically forgot I was even their daughter, to them I was just another number.”

“There was one job when I was 16,” Dizzy clutched the glass, “it was simple; deliver the balloons of drugs across the border.”

Shawn grew tense, “balloons?”

“Balloons filled with drugs, in my stomach…” Dizzy put her hand on her stomach. “I didn't even know they were there, until…”

“Oh, gods...don't tell me…”

“One popped,” Dizzy broke down in tears, “I was so alone, in the desert, the moment it popped, I dropped to the ground, begging somebody to end me.”

Shawn set down his glass, going around the kitchen island to hug her tightly, “hey,” Shawn whispered, “promise me, you’ll never end yourself?”

“Shawn-”

“Promise me!” Shawn gripped her shoulder, “my sister killed herself when she was a teen, I can't lose another person to that so promise me you won't kill yourself!”

Dizzy bit her lips, her tears flowing more and more, “I promise.”

Shawn then quickly backed away “the balloons are out, right?”

“Yeah,” Dizzy laughed, wiping her tears, “somehow when I collapsed, somebody took me to the hospital and they took out the balloons.”

Shawn sighed in relief, “thank the gods…”

“I can't believe I spilled all this out to a stranger, a cop no less.” Dizzy chuckled, “Sorry…”

“For what?” Shawn hopped on top of the kitchen island, “you were hurting,” Shawn held her hands, Dizzy looked into his hazel eyes, “and I find it my responsibility to help those who are hurting.”

Dizzy was speechless, her heart was set aflutter when he kissed her forehead, “it’s 5 am, get some rest, I’m sure your boyfriend won't like a random man being here.”

“Not in a relationship, remember?” Dizzy chuckled.

“Oh, yeah,” Shawn sweatdropped, “are you gonna be okay alone?”

“I’m a big girl, I’m not some damsel in need of saving.” Dizzy teased. “I know you’re not,” a part of him was kicking himself for even thinking about leaving her.

And that was his demon.

“You fucking idiot! Look at the cute face! She doesn't want you to leave!” his demon, Zesy, scolded.

“Shut it, Zesy, she’s vulnerable, I don't take advantage of vulnerable women,” Shawn told her.

“Hey,” Shawn was about to walk out but stopped, “I’ve felt really shitty if I don't stay here...so, how about, just for the night, I’ll stay?”

Dizzy brushed her hair back with her fingers, “tha-thank you…”

Adorable! Shawn felt his heart burst with happiness. “I’ll show you to the guest room.” Shawn followed her upstairs, secretly watching her hips sway.

I'm gonna be seeing a lot more of her.

“You didn't have to drive me to work, baby,” Diane muttered.

“Nonsense,” Gabriella kissed her cheek, “you’re my girlfriend, plus it’s raining, I’m not letting you go out in the rain.”

Diane held her hand, kissing it. Gabriella smiled and kissed her lips, “so, I was thinking we would tell my parents about us at the Cinco De Mayo party.”

“Are you sure?” Diane looked into her eyes.

Gabriella nodded, “I want my entire family to know about us.”

“Do you think they’ll accept us?” Diane muttered.

“I don't know,” Gabriella sighed, “but if they do or don't, I’ll still love you with all my heart.”

She stopped in front of the fashion company, letting Diane out the car, “I’ll walk you upstairs,” Gabriella grabbed Diane’s purse, following her upstairs to meet Catania walking by.

“You’re late Diane,” Catania growled, scowling at her assistant.

“I’m sorry, Miss Catania, I promise it won't happen again.” Diane bowed, looking down at her feet.

Catania glared at Gabriella, “and you are?”

“She’s my girlfriend,” Gabriella held Diane close, “my name’s Gabriella.”

“Right,” Catania looked her up and down, judgingly, “you don't work for me, so bye-bye.”

“Yeah, I don't have to leave unless I want to,” Gabriella smirked, “also, stop being so harsh to my girlfriend.”

“I can treat my employees any way I want.” Catania pulled her away from Gabriella, “go make the tea.”

Catania pushed Diane towards the breakroom, “and it better be jasmine!”

“Ye-Yes miss!”

Catania noticed the dragon tail on her wrist, she clutched her wrist, pulling up her sleeves, “well well well, look what we got here, a little Golden Dragon.”

“Let go of me.” she snarled every word, Gabriella snatched her wrist away.

“I heard about what happened last night.” Catania smirked, “it looks like you started a war.”

“Stay out of my business,” Gabriella marched towards her, “and stay away from Diane.”

“Excuse me? She’s my assistant.” Catania reminded her. “I can treat her anyway I want.”

They noticed Diane coming out of the breakroom, “he-here yo-you go Catania!” Diane tripped over Catania’s foot, spilling the tea.

“I-I’m so-sorry!” Diane stammered.

“I’m tired of your stammering, Diane, you’re fired.” Catania flipped her hair, walking off.

“N-no! Mi-Miss Catania! Plea-please! I-I can be better!” Diane pleaded.

Gabrielle growled, “let’s go.”

She tried to pull Diane away from Catania. Diane cried into her chest, “yo-you don't have t-to stay.”

Gabriella kissed her cheek, “I’ll never leave, come on, you can't stay here.”

Gabriella walked her back to the car, “shh, it’s alright,” Gabriella soothed, they sat in the car, the rain pouring down, “come on, let’s go.” Gabriella started the car, driving into the streets of new york.

“Whe-Where are we going?” Diane sniffled, playing with her fingers.

“My job, today you’re staying with me, I don't want you anywhere near that fashion company.” Gabriella clutched the steering wheel.

“Bu-But maybe i-if I plead, Catania will give me my job back.” Diane smiled sadly.

“No,” Gabriella declared, “why do you want that job so badly?”

“Because without that job Catania says I'm nothing. Maybe she's right, maybe I am nothing without it.” Diane looked down at her feet. Gabriella abruptly stopped the car at the stoplight.

“Diane,” Gabriella cupped her face “you are everything, even without that job!”

“Gabriella, the light turned green.”

“I never want to hear you say you’re nothing ever again,” Gabriella kissed her lips, “you’re my everything.”

“Gabriella, cars are honking.”

“The day we started dating I promised myself that I would never cause you any pain,” Gabriella kissed her cheeks, “never leave you,” she kissed her forehead, “make sure you’re given the best life possible.”

“Gabriella, as romantic as that is, these cars are gonna get mad if we don't move.”

Gabriella growled and rolled down the window, sticking her head out the window, “IF I HEAR ONE MORE FUCKING HONK, I’LL SHOOT YOU FUCKING WINDSHEELS SO FAST IT’LL MAKE YOUR HEAD SPIN!!!”

Diane sighed as the honking stopped, Gabriella entered the car again and continued driving, stopping when she got to the mechanics. “Come on,” Gabriella took her hand “let me show you a better job.”

She walked into the mechanics, her family greeting her with hellos and shocked faces as she held Diane’s hand. “Mama!” Gabriella called out, Mama came out from under a car she was working on.

Mama dusted off her clothes and passed the wrench to one of the other employees. “Hey, Gabi, who’s this?” Mama asked, smiling at Diane.

“This is Diane,” Gabriella gulped, “my girlfriend.”

Mama blinked a couple of times, looking at Gabriella and Diane closely. Gabriella gulped again, the entire mechanics went silent. Diane felt a lump in her chest, soon going away at Mama’s smile.

“Welcome to the family!” Mama hugged her tightly, “I’m Emma, but everyone calls me Mama.” Mama greeted, shaking her hand.

“U-Uh, nice to meet you Emma-sama.” Diane stopped when Mama glared at her. “I mean Mama.”

“Good,” Mama ruffled her blonde hair, “and killing the sama stuff, sounds too formal.”

“Wha-what?” Diane stuttered. “You don't need to call me Emma-sama, just call me Mama.” Mama smiled brightly.

“Does she know?” Mama asked, Gabriella, nodded.

Mama held Diane’s hand softly, “I know this is sudden, and you don't have to join if you don't want to, but will you join the Golden Dragons?”

“Yes,” Diane hugged Mama tightly, “I’m out of a job and need something to do.”

“Did you just get fired?” Mama questioned, walking deeper into the mechanics with Gabriella and Diane.

“Yes, my old boss fired me for spilling tea.” Diane sighed.

“Spilling tea? Jeez didn't think gossiping would get you fired.” Mama scoffed.

“No, actually tea Mama.” Gabriella shook her head.

“Seriously? My gods and goddesses, your boss is so dumb!” Mama laughed, reaching the elevator, pushing the down button.

“Well, if you need a job, I think I know a perfect job for you.” Mama winked as they boarded the elevator.

“Where are we going?” Diane asked innocently.

“The Workshop,” Mama smirked as the elevator stopped, letting them exit into a beautiful technical workshop.

Diane’s eyes widened, she couldn't believe all the magic that surrounded her. “Alonzo!” Mama called out, backing up a bit when a speed bike halted to a stop in front of them.

“Need something Mama?” the driver took off his helmet, revealing a handsome young man.

Alonzo has silverish light-lavender whitish hair, being the "purple" family of tones and colors. He also portrays scarlet red eyes with a slight pinkish hue.

“You still need a new armor and suit designer, right?” Gabriella questioned, Alonzo, nodded, parking the motorcycle.

“Yeah, lately our members have been running into the fire, ice, and thunder problems, we need a suit that is resistant to all magi,” Alonzo explained.

“Is this the suit?” Diane examined the suit he was wearing, it was a simple design, black thin latex suit. Diane shook her head, “this is all wrong!”

Diane went into her purse pulling out her sketch pad, “you need something flexible since I’m guessing your members will be fighting, something that’s cold-proof, so maybe some thin wool lining?”

Alonzo’s mouth gaped open as he let her continue, “for the top, you need something fireproof, and for thunder and lightning as well, so rubber is good.”

“I’m thinking full bodysuit, with some strong leather and rubber mixed material.”

Alonzo clutched her shoulders, “you’re hired!”

“Wh-what?!”

“Your design is amazing! Do you think you can help with another number of clothing weapons for the Rose Golden Dragons and the Golden Dragons?”

“Rose Golden?” Diane questioned.

“Yeah, it’s an all-female squad in the Golden Dragons, just as high as us Dragons, some are even stronger!” Alonzo chuckled.

“Sure,” Diane smiled, “when do I start?”

“Now!” Alonzo grabbed her hand, showing her around the Workshop.
