-Chapter 73: This One
I don't want to be here right now, but I have no choice. Gai invited me to be here to see who wins this competition between that annoying dude he has selling houses or that nice HumaGear woman who sells house. I also don't want to be here because that means that MetsubouJinrai member is out there doing whatever they want.
"Everyone, I want to thank you for coming," an older guy says. I don't know his name since I wasn't here for it due to having other commitments. "The homes you've shown me were both wonderful and quite beautiful. But the one that I have decided to go with is...yours, Smile."
I look over at Aruto, Smile, and Izu as they stand there looking happy. I can't believe they won this guy's money! But I don't think this is going to help them win the competition. She didn't sell as many houses due that person sabotaging them. Isamu filled me in all about that issue.
"Thanks!" Smile exclaims.
"Thank you for much," Aruto says, bowing his head and Smile does the same.
"Why did you pick her house?" Tatsumi asks, being stupid. I can tell him why no one wanted his house choice.
I look over as Tatsumi stands up, getting in the old guy's face. Does he seriously not know what went wrong? It went wrong because he is like Gai. Gai only cares about making money, not the people who want to give him their money.
"She was concerned about more than making a profit off of me and considered my family," the old guy tells him, answering the question as he stares in Tatsumi's eyes. "She even thought about what my wife would have wanted. The togetherness of our family, not just the house." I knew it. "Thank you smile."
The old man bows his head and he bows to Aruto. He is so polite. I do wonder why Gai had me come here to represent his side of things. He didn't even show up here. What a piece of trash!
Tatsumi turns and moves towards the exit, grabbing his briefcase on the way out. So, he's just going to act like a little kid right now because he lost to a HumaGear for this part? He still won the overall competition due to his sales. I am pretty sure he made sure that Smile would lose by cheating somehow.
"Hey, wait!" Aruto exclaims and he moves by me, heading to the exit. I guess I should follow him out.
I turn to the old man and bow my head. "Excuse me."
"Take care," he tells me and I turn away.
I rush out the door.

I stop as I see Aruto and Tatsumi next to some river it seems. I think that is a river. I'm not good with everything around here in Japan yet.
"I was too busy focusing on the contest that I forgot what was important," Aruto says. "Smile taught me to focus on the happiness of the person and not the sales. I think you are realizing that too. Sales are important, but they're not everything." Aruto is such a nice businessman compared to Gai.
Tatsumi turns. "I would never lose to a disgusting HumaGear." He places a belt on his waist and I step back, my eyes going wide. That is...that Raidriser isn't it? I can't do anything about this because that hooded figure told me to mind my own business!
"Arayashiki-san!" Aruto exclaims as the man shoves his key into it that he definitely got from that hooded person. Horobi should have told me about this. I'm going to give him a piece of my mind next time I see him!
He transforms and he sends a wave towards Smile and Aruto tackles her down, shielding her. He pulls out his key and belt, activating them and transforming. I move to Izu's side and shake my head. How does this always happen?
"Arayashiki-san..." Aruto seems so disappointed in him.
Tatsumi rushes towards Aruto and Aruto holds up his axe looking weapon and blocks Tatsumi's weapon from hitting him. He knocks away Tatsumi's weapon and smacks him in the chest, sending him backwards. Tatsumi recovers and moves towards Aruto once again. Aruto swings his axe and hits the weapon, keeping it from hitting him.
"Aruto..." I want everything to go his way for once and to keep this from always happening. Why can't he just be happy for once? I want him truly happy.
Tatsumi falls to the ground and rolls down the steps a bit. He stands up and sends a wave towards Aruto, but Aruto dodges using the speed of his Hopper. He knocks Tatsumi down, appearing behind him, and he then goes in front of him as Tatsumi lands on his knees. Man, that Shining Assault Hopper key makes Aruto super fast!
Aruto points his gun at him and I swallow hard. He's not going to shoot him. He wouldn't shoot him unless he has to.
He puts it down to his side and holds out his hand to Tatsumi. Tatsumi lifts up his hand and smacks Aruto's away. He picks up his weapon and swings it at Aruto, hitting him and sending him back.
"Aruto!" I cover my mouth up with my hands as my heart picks up the pace.
I'm so worried about him because he is just too kind to people who don't even deserve it. I should tone it down a bit. If I keep overly freaking out, nothing good will come out of it.
If I keep acting super concerned about Aruto, Izu will suspect something and then everyone will suspect something. And guess what? That's not a good thing for me at all. I do not want everyone knowing that we're seeing each other because that will probably make the public hate Aruto and make them love Gai.
Tatsumi activates his finisher and Aruto moves out of the way as a wave comes towards him. I look up as he floats above him and I sigh heavily. I am going to get gray hair before I'm supposed to.
"Why don't you understand it?" Aruto asks him. He activates his finisher and hits Tatsumi, making his transformation end. Shining Assault Hopper is perfect.
Aruto ends his transformation as lays there, probably sobbing because he is an idiot. I step closer, carefully going down the steps to approach them. I don't want to fall and knock over Aruto.
"I didn't want to understand it at all because if I did, I didn't think I could stay in the business any longer." He sits up and his eyes look over. "That was a nice house, Smile! It really was."
I look over as Izu and Smile stare down at him, looking a bit joyful that he has finally seen the light. I am joyful that he has realized the error of his way. Now he can go and sell houses without being racist towards HumaGears.
I look back at Tatsumi as he loosens his tie. "I guess I did lose sight of what is important," Tatsumi says, admitting he was wrong. I wish someone could record this besides Izu and Smile. Tatsumi takes off his tie and tosses it down, smiling. "Congrats, Aruto."
"Thanks," Aruto tells him.
"He did not lose," a familiar and sinister voice states. Why is Gai here? Why is he showing his face now?
"In the terms of profit, ZAIA ended up selling more," Yua says and I look over as Gai and Yua stand there, looking straight at Aruto.
"A President who cannot deliver profits is worthless." Gai is being so harsh right now. What is with him and making money?
Aruto steps towards him. "What's the point of making a profit if your customers and employees aren't even happy?" he asks curiously.
He's right about that. What is the point of doing that if someone isn't happy with the service or providing a service? It is like my marriage to Gai.
Gai looks away, a tiny smirk growing on his face. "Happiness? How do you quantify the value of something like that, President of Hiden Intelligence? I doubt you'll be happy once I take over your company." He looks back at Aruto as the wind blows his hair a bit. His eyes go to me and I look away, my face heating up a bit. This is slightly embarrassing to have happen.
"Can you three go for a bit? I think Gai wishes to talk to his wife and his competitor about the competition for a moment," Yua says, talking to Izu, Smile, and Tatsumi. Gai wants to talk to us?
"President Aruto-"
"Izu, it'll be fine. Go."
I nod my head. "Please go. It seems like it is important business that needs to be talked about right now."
I don't think they should be that concerned since this a public place. What can Gai do in public to hurt us? I do not think anything major will happen, but I do wonder what this is about.
A/n: I'm just going to go ahead and post this chapter.
I'll keep you waiting for the next one. ;) I wonder what Gai wants to talk about? Knowing him, it's not something that is good.
Guess we'll have to find out.
