two weeks later-
our last day in jamaica was sadly upon us. we would be leaving in the middle of the night to the airport so we could go to aaliyah's graduation tomorrow.
when i woke up, shawn wasn't next to me. and that's when i remembered he said something last night about a gym in the hotel, so he was probably there.
i texted the girls to see where they were at, and they were all getting ready to go to breakfast.
also, apparently someone let shawn rent a boat, so we would be doing that all day.
we were going to the boat right after breakfast, so i put on my bathing suit instead of an actual outfit. i changed into a light pink bathing suit with a long cover up over it, matching sandals, and sunglasses. i left my hair down and didn't put on any makeup. [outfit below]
i locked the room and started making my way to the breakfast bar.
madison and hailee smiled, "morning,"
i got a plate and started getting food, "good morning,"
camila stood next to me, "where's your man?"
"i don't know," i said while rolling my eyes because i knew who she was talking about, "and he's not my-"
i was interrupted by someone putting their arms around my waist, "hi,"
"hey," shawn said while taking some of the food off my plate.
"you were saying?" camila said with a smirk before she walked away.
"get your own food, mendes," i said while moving my plate away from him.
"can you make me a plate?" he asked while still holding me, "i need to go sit down, my legs are sore since i went to the gym,"
"fine," i said while grabbing another plate, "did you workout your butt muscles?"
shawn rolled his eyes before walking away, "it's called the gluteus, cassandra!"
once i got shawn and i's food, i sat down at the table. everyone made small talk amongst each other until we all finished eating.
we were all somewhat rushing since everyone wanted to get on the boat as soon as possible.
eventually, everyone finished and we started making our way to the boat dock.
when we got there, someone was waiting for us on the boat. it was the captain that would be taking us to the middle of the ocean.
he explained the rules and safety precautions before he let us on the boat.
"i want aux!" i screamed.
"no, you're not touching the aux cord if you're going to continue playing your garbage music," shawn scolded before he grabbed my phone.
"miss," the captain said, "it's bluetooth,"
"perfect, thank you," i said to the captain before snatching my phone back and looking at shawn, "selena gomez's old songs aren't garbage,"
"you tell him, girl!" camila said, "blast that shit!"
i laughed while taking a seat in an empty chair, "i will!"
"i don't know about you guys, but i'm trying to go snorkeling," niall said.
madison went to get a water from the cooler, "i'm trying to get one last tanning session in,"
julia looked at her, "same,"
"you'll tan while in the water," charlie said.
"fine," madison said, giving in.
shawn sat in the chair next to me, "are you getting in the water, shorty?"
"i don't know," i responded, "you?"
he shrugged, "i'll get in if you get in,"
"wow, shawn, i'm proud," i said while putting my hand on my chest, "you're slowly getting over your fear of deep water,"
he laughed, "shut up,"

the boat was a success. everyone had a good time was enjoying themselves. we ate lunch on the boat, and it was amazing.
as it was getting later in the day, everybody started getting hungry again. we all rode back to the hotel together, but decided to go our separate ways for the night because we were all craving different things for dinner. shawn and i wanted food from the restaurant we went to on the first night we were here.
"ready, beautiful?" shawn asked as i got up from putting my shoes on.
i ended up dressing a little fancier than anticipated. i changed into a long gray dress with flowers on it, wedges, the necklace my parents gave me, and the cartier bracelet and ring. for hair, i braided the top and left the rest down, and for makeup, i did a bronzy look. [outfit below]
"yeah, let's go," i said while getting up and holding his hand.
at restaurant-
"table for two, please," shawn said to the waiter.
"follow me," he said as he was grabbing menus.
as we were walking to the table, shawn had his hand on my lower back the whole time. and when we got to the table, he pulled out my chair.
"thank you," i said once i sat down.
"i'll give you two a minute," the waiter said before he walked away.
i looked at my menu, "what are you get-"
I was interrupted by a woman holding up some jewelry on a platform, "excuse me, would you two like to buy anything?"
i looked at the different types of jewelry she had and saw some cute infinity bracelets, "shawn, let's get matching bracelets,"
"okay," shawn said as he gave the woman a twenty dollar bill, "pick them out,"
i got the two bracelets and thanked the woman, before i took shawn's wrist and put his bracelet on him.
"these are nice," he said while looking at the bracelets.
i picked my menu up again, "we're goals,"
right after that, the waiter came back and took our order. while we were waiting for our food to come out, shawn and i were talking about our favorite parts from this trip.
we ended up staying at the restaurant for two hours. we would get so into our conversation, we would forget about our food.
"do you want to walk on the beach for a bit?" shawn asked as we were exiting the restaurant.
"why not?" i said while taking my shoes off with the support of shawn and then supporting shawn while he took his off.
we held hand with my left and his right, while our shoes were in our other hand.
we didn't say anything for a bit, we just walked, hand in hand, enjoying each other's company.
"have you talked to aaliyah?" he asked breaking the silence.
"yeah," i responded, "she's nervous for tomorrow, she thinks she's going to trip while walking on the stage to get her diploma,"
he laughed, "of course,"
"i just realized i never properly thanked you for this trip," i said while looking down, "i really appreciate it, thank you,"
he let go of my hand and put his arm on my hip, "i appreciate you,"
i stopped him from walking and looked up at him while smiling, "you're cute, mendes,"
he placed his forehead on mine and put his hands on my cheeks, "you're cute, cassandra,"
