Part 3
Meet & Greet
The elevator doors opened and little Cloud followed his parents into the hall. Cloud was holding Noct's hand and saw how two adults stood at the entrance with another kid like him.
"Noct!" Luna greeted.
"Luna, Nyx" Noct greeted back along with Prompto.
Soon they stood a few feet apart and Cloud stood behind Noct's leg. hiding. Cloud was shy around strangers and so was Luna's kid.
"Sorry for coming so early, it's a few hours from Tenebrae" Nyx said.
"It's alright" Prompto said.
Noct looked down at Cloud, "look Cloud, this is Luna and Nyx..they are like your uncles...say hi"
Cloud just hid and only peeked a little to see.
"Oh~ I remember you couldn't even walk... He is so shy~" Luna said and Prompto laughed.
"How about yours?" Prompto smiled.
Nyx looked down behind his leg and saw how his son was hiding as well.
"He is shy as well, it takes time to open up" Nyx said, "but I know they'll get along, right son?"
The kid looked up at Nyx and then peeked from behind Nyx's leg to see Cloud.
"I heared Ignis is his private tutor" Nyx said.
"Yeah, started a few months ago, maybe like three months ago" Noct said.
"Thats great" Luna said.
"What about him?" Prompto asked.
"He started as well, someone is teaching him in the mornings" Luna said.
As the adults talked, Cloud stared at the kid straight in front of him.
He was wearing a black sweater and black jeans. He had blue eyes and chocolate brown hair. His porcelain skin was nice and soft looking. And despite his age, his features were sharp.
Slowly the adults were walking away to talk privately.
"Cloud, stay here, we will be just over there" Noct said.
Cloud wanted to follow Noct but Noct kissed his cheek and told him to stay and have fun.
"Make him feel at home" Noct whispered.
Luna told her kid the same thing and soon they were both standing alone.
Cloud couldn't look at him and averted his eyes to the ground. Cloud held his chocobo and moogle and waited for him to say something.
A minute passed and no one said a word. Cloud thought it was best if he started since the boy was the one visiting.
"I.... Uhmm... I'm Cloud" Cloud looked at him and so did the boy, "whats your name?"

"......Squall" the boy said emotionless.
"Thats a cool name" Cloud said.
"......your name is cool too" Squall shyly said.
"......." Cloud and Squall stayed silent and didn't know what else to say.
Cloud looked at Noct and Prompto from afar and saw how they were talking to Nyx and Luna.
Cloud then looked at Squall who was playing with his feet.
"Do you want one?" Cloud asked.
Squall looked at Cloud confused, "...?"
Cloud showed him his moogle and chocobo.
Squall was taken aback, "......I can have one?"
Cloud nodded.
"...are you sure?" Squall said.
"Yeah" Cloud said, "pick the one you like"
"Hmm.....I don't know.... Whatevers" Squall said.
Cloud stood still and then handed him the chocobo, "here"
Squall was taken aback again and rejected it, "no... You keep the chocobo"
"...?" Cloud tilted his head confused.
"The chocobo looks like you..... I choose the moogle" Squall said.
Cloud's eyes widened at the compliment(?).
Squall took a step closer and grabbed the moogle, "its soft"
Cloud hugged his chocobo and watched Squall extend his hand.
"Uh... " Cloud said.
"...you want to be friends?" Squall asked.
Cloud hesitated at first but eventually he shook Squall's soft, small hand and nodded, "friends"
"It looks like they are getting along" Prompto observed.
"I thought it would take Leon more effort. But he is getting along with Cloud really well. And that handshake.. It means Leon likes him" Nyx said.
"Leon?" Noct said confused.
"Oh yeah, that's the nickname that we gave him. Its actually his middle name. Once in a while we call him Leon" Luna said.
"And does he know, Leon is his nickname?" Noct asked.
"Absolutely" Luna said.
"Cloud and Squall.... I wonder if they will be friends until they grow up" Noct said as they all observed Squall and Cloud talking.
"I wonder.....I wonder" Prompto quietly said.
8:30pm
"Sorry, Iggy" Prompto whispered to him.
Ignis sighed, "it's alright. You both need your alone time once in a while. Anyways, having Cloud sleep here is fun. The questions he asks are fun to answer too" Ignis smiled.
Prompto chuckled, " questions?... You'll have to tell me tomorrow what kind of questions he is asking"
"Prompto~" Cloud tugged on Prompto's pants.
"What is it?" Prompto looked down.
"Is Squall going to come play again?" Cloud hesitantly asked.
"You had fun playing with him?" Prompto asked and Cloud nodded.
"Of course, he will come back" Prompto patted Cloud's head, "I'll tell his parents if he can sleep over soon. Won't that be fun?!"
Cloud hugged his chocobo and smiled in happiness.
"Now go to bed" Prompto said and Cloud ran to his small bed next to Ignis's big bed.
"Haha, he likes Squall a lot" Prompto chuckled.
"Indeed, they played all day. Cloud even wanted to go with them to Tenebrae" Ignis said.
"Yeah I saw" Prompto sat in Ignis's bed.
Ignis sat beside Prompto.
"Hey, Iggy. I want to ask you something"
"Of course" Ignis paid attention.
"Have you thought of forming a family of your own?"
Ignis raised an eyebrow.
"I mean..... Do you have someone right now? You have dedicated so many years caring for Noct and now Cloud. Isn't it time to take care of yourself too?" Prompto stared at Ignis.
Ignis sighed and looked down.
"Don't you have someone in your life?" Prompto asked.
"Well..... There is someone I met a few months ago" Ignis said.
"Really? Who is it? Why didn't you tell us? Do I know them?" Prompto curiously questioned.
"No you don't know them. And I didn't think much at first" Ignis said.
"What then?" Prompto listened carefully.
Ignis sighed, "It's nothing"
"Nothing? What happened? I can see it in your cheeks. You don't ever get red like that. It's my first time seeing you flustered" Prompto smiled.
Ignis took off his glasses, "......"
"What's her name?" Prompto teased.
"......"
"Wait... It's not Gladio is it?" Prompto's mouth fell open.
"Of course not" Ignis frowned.
"Then who is it? What's her name?" Prompto insisted.
"...her name is... Aranea.... I met her a few months ago when I visited Nifleheim along with Gladio and the Glaives for some marketing business."
"Aranea?... That's a nice name... Is she pretty?" Prompto smiled.
"......she is strong and...... Very interesting" Ignis looked away.
"So~.... " Prompto urged Ignis to spill the beans.
"....Aranea is moving to Insomnia.... And she will be working in the Citadel soon" Ignis said.
"Really?!........ Do you like her?" Prompto asked.
"...we text each other often and the last time I saw her... She kissed me" Ignis whispered embarrassed.
Prompto's eyes widened and he couldn't believe it.
"What?! Ignis?! Being kissed by a girl?" Prompto whispered.
"Quit it"
"Do you like her though?"
Ignis looked at him, "Not sure........I've never felt this way before, of wanting to see her and feeling nervous she will work here beside me soon"
Prompto contained himself from laughing in happiness.
"You like her" Prompto patted Ignis's shoulder.
"Uh-"
"And why did she kiss you?.... Does she like you?"
".........she confessed first" Ignis whispered.
"What? .... Woaw Iggy, what did you say?"
"...I... Needed time to sort my feeling out" Ignis looked away.
"....you helped me and Noct when we needed it. And now I will do the same. If you like her, don't let us hold you back. Tell her how you feel. Give yourself an opportunity. I know Noct will feel the same" Prompto adviced.
"You really think so?"
Prompto nodded.
9:30pm
Prompto went back to his room and locked the door.
"Hey Noct, I got to tell you something" Prompto smiled.
"What took you so long~?" Noct seductively brought Prompto into his arms.
"Just talking to Iggy" Prompto said.
Noct pushed him down against the bed and sucked on his neck.
"ah~" Prompto moaned and Noct summoned the Sound barrier.
"About what?" Noct moaned.
Prompto felt Noct grind against him.

"......does it really feel good?" Prompto asked.

"Anyways...Noct... Cloud wants to play with Luna's kid again"
"That's great.... It's good that they get along.. That way he won't be raised alone" Noct said.

"What?!" Noct looked at Prompto surprised.
"Who is it? Do we know them?When did it happen?Where did they meet?" Noct asked.
Prompto laughed and closed his eyes, "I'll tell you tomorrow"

"Is it Gladio?" Noct asked and Prompto just smiled and rolled his eyes.
"Go to sleep, I'll tell you tomorrow"
14 Years Later
