Chapter 14: Reborn

By IshiharaNiaoka

"Hmm, where am I?" Aurianna pondered, her mind filled with curiosity and confusion. She found herself standing on a vast expanse of white land, and right in front of her stood an enormous white statue. This thing was colossal, easily towering over 100 meters in height, though it leaned slightly to one side. Interestingly, it seemed to have split in half, creating an intriguing visual effect.

The statue depicted a striking woman, holding a staff firmly in one hand. As Aurianna gazed at the sculpture, a realization washed over her—a realization that she, in fact, bore a resemblance to the woman portrayed. The beauty of the statue was captivating, and it was as if a mirrored reflection stared back at her.

Perceiving an air of peculiarity emanating from the statue, Aurianna decided it was best to distance herself from it. However, her intentions didn't sit well with the fragmented sculpture. In an instant, it reacted, raising its staff and emitting a resounding scream.

Suddenly, in a swift movement, the statue positioned itself right before her, wielding its staff with great force in an attempt to strike Aurianna. The powerful swing connected, causing her to yelp in pain as she was sent hurtling toward the ground. The impact was nothing short of devastating, making her feel as though every bone in her body had been pulverized. It surpassed any agony she had previously endured, be it from torture or demon attacks.

Aurianna endured the relentless assault from the colossal statue's staff, her body absorbing blow after blow without breaking apart. The pain was excruciating as she was pounded into the ground repeatedly, but eventually, the statue ceased its assault, allowing her a moment of respite. Gasping for breath, she mustered the strength to pry her eyes open.

As her vision cleared, she found herself in a room, bewildered by the sudden change in surroundings. "Wait, how did I end up here?" she questioned, her voice filled with confusion.

Surveying her surroundings, she took in the pristine, white interior with minimal decorations. The room exuded an air of luxury, though the monotonous white color scheme was slightly disconcerting, given the brutal beating she had just endured. Aurianna searched for an exit but found no visible doors, further intensifying her unease.

Aurianna pondered whether the lack of an apparent door was a consequence of the room's enclosed nature, where the uniformity of white hues might have obscured it from view. Yet, a sense of familiarity permeated the atmosphere, leading her to wonder in a hushed tone, "Could this be... my old room?" A tremor in her voice betrayed the underlying uncertainty as she meticulously surveyed the walls, grappling with the possibility that her harrowing encounter might have been nothing more than a nightmarish figment of her imagination.

Aurianna's eyes fixated on her hands, and she couldn't help but feel a wave of astonishment wash over her as she noticed the absence of the scars she had carried for so long. To her amazement, her hands appeared rejuvenated, devoid of any signs of past wounds. Her attention then shifted to the corner of the room, where a window revealed the night sky—a captivating swirl of darkness concealing untold secrets. A mixture of awe and confusion filled her as she cautiously examined her hands once more. How could this be? What had transpired to bring about such a remarkable transformation?

As Aurianna lifted her gaze from her hands, a sudden realization struck her—she was actually seated on a bed. Perplexed by this unexpected revelation, she promptly rose from the bed, only to stumble and land face-first on the ground with an involuntary cry of pain, muttering an "Ouch" as she instinctively rubbed her forehead. Determined not to be deterred, she quickly regained her footing.

To her surprise, Aurianna then noticed the presence of a dressing table before her, prompting a perplexed expression to grace her face. She approached it with intrigue, but as she drew closer, a startling revelation emerged—the dressing table was massive! No matter how hard she stretched her arms or attempted to jump, reaching the top of it remained a difficult challenge.

"Why in the world is it so gigantic?" Aurianna pondered aloud, her mind racing with thoughts of how to overcome this vertical obstacle. Her focus shifted to a nearby chair, which she seized with all her might, determined to employ its assistance in her quest to reach the top where, undoubtedly, a mirror awaited her inspection. With sheer determination, she pulled the chair towards the towering dressing table, her muscles straining against the resistance.

Pulling the chair also proved to be a struggle, causing beads of sweat to form on Aurianna's brow. Nonetheless, she persisted, exerting herself until the chair was successfully positioned. Climbing up onto the chair presented a new set of challenges, as each step demanded significant effort.

Finally, having reached to the top of the table, Aurianna gazed into what should have been her own reflection. Instead, she was met with the visage of a young child bearing a striking resemblance to herself. The cherubic features, adorned with her iconic long snow-white hair and big blue eyes, painted a picture of innocence and youth. This miniature version of Aurianna appeared no older than seven, her diminutive frame embodying a sense of youthful purity.

A gasp escaped Aurianna's lips as her eyes widened in astonishment. "This can't be real," she croaked, her voice filled with disbelief. "People don't just randomly get younger out of the blue!" She stood there in awe, struggling to comprehend the inexplicable transformation that had befallen her.

After a brief period of staring at her diminutive form in a state of incredulous shock, Aurianna regained her composure and managed to gather her thoughts. An overwhelming curiosity surged within her, compelling her to put forth a hypothesis and conduct an experiment of sorts.

"Pearl, come out!" Aurianna exclaimed, her voice resonating throughout the empty room. In that moment, a voice responded, "Nice to meet you, child." The sound reverberated through her mind, triggering an intense wave of pain that caused Aurianna to instinctively clutch her head, momentarily overwhelmed by the sensation.

"Ahhh, why are you in my head?!" Aurianna exclaimed, her voice filled with surprise and bewilderment.

"You called me, but you didn't specify that I should appear physically," Eva calmly explained, her voice resonating in Aurianna's mind.

Aurianna breathed a sigh of relief, reassured that her interaction with Eva was indeed real.

"Okay, so what exactly happened to me? Where am I now? Weren't I in the middle of a battle with a statue? And who are you?" Aurianna bombarded Eva with a rapid succession of questions, her expression reflecting a mix of suspicion and curiosity. She couldn't help but question the circumstances surrounding her seemingly fortunate escape from her previous fate.

"Whoa, slow down with the questions! You're driving me crazy!" Eva sighed, feeling overwhelmed by Aurianna's relentless interrogation. In an instant, she materialized before Aurianna, her presence solidifying.

"First things first, I am Eva. It's a pleasure to meet you, master," Eva introduced herself with a touch of formality. "As for what happened to you, I have actually transported you back to the past, altering the course of events. And where you are now... well, that's a part of the past too."

Aurianna's gaze remained cautious, her trust not easily won. She continued to assess Eva, who in turn couldn't help but mutter, "Although, I must say, compared to your sister, you seem quite weak."

Eva's encounter with Leila, the other White Diamond, had left a lasting impression. She couldn't deny the sheer strength and power that emanated from Leila. Eva pondered on the hypothetical outcome of a battle between the two, confident in her own abilities but recognizing Leila's exceptional prowess for her age.

'I'll definitely have to give that brat a good beating when I see her again,' Eva thought to herself, her fist clenching as determination surged through her.

"I have a sister?" Aurianna questioned, her voice filled with shock and disbelief.

Eva nodded, a smug expression crossing her face. "Indeed, you do have a sister. However, at this point in time, you lack the qualifications to know about her."

Aurianna's confusion deepened, and she felt a surge of frustration building within her. She uncrossed her arms and stared at Eva intently, her narrowed eyes demanding an explanation.

"Before we delve into the Pearl and Diamond matter, let me make one thing clear," Eva said, her tone tinged with arrogance as she waved her hands dismissively. "With your current strength and abilities, you simply aren't qualified for anything ."

Aurianna's face flushed with a mix of anger and indignation. She couldn't fathom why Eva deemed her unworthy and inferior. Her voice resonated with fury as she shouted, "Why am I not qualified for anything, huh?!"

Eva let out a mirthless laugh, her smugness evident in her posture. "Don't blame me for your own shortcomings. It's your fault that you're so horribly weak and foolish. No wonder you met such a foolish end."

Aurianna's frown deepened, her hands clenching in frustration. The weight of her past mistakes and shortcomings bore heavily upon her. "Tch, I know I was weak and foolish. I trusted others blindly, and it led me to my demise," she admitted, her voice trembling with a mix of regret and determination.

Eva raised an eyebrow, intrigued by Aurianna's introspection. She remained silent, allowing Aurianna to gather her thoughts and express her feelings.

Aurianna's anger surged uncontrollably, her words laced with venomous resentment. She growled, her voice dripping with fury, "But who knew those damn ungrateful pieces of shit would kill their fucking savior!!! And that bitch of a goddess Paige. I wanna rip off her disgusting face and torture her with the same level of care her little servant dished out till I'm satisfied!"

The intensity of her fury manifested physically, veins bulging on her forehead as her anger surged unrestrained. Calmness eluded her, replaced by an all-consuming hatred that gnawed at her core. The memories of her past sufferings and betrayals fueled her desire for retribution. She yearned for those responsible to taste the same despair and anguish she had endured—the despair of powerlessness, watching everything dear being torn apart before her eyes.

Aurianna's voice echoed through the room. "I'm a princess, one of the most noble beings in this entire continent. It's a given that every soul should bow in reverence before me, showering me with adoration. They should know their place, like the lowly fools they truly are. But no, these mere commoners and those snobby nobles had the nerve to mock me. Those shit had forgotten their place, those damn bastards. Unbelievable! Those despicable bastards will face the consequences, mark my words. Every single one of them, from the youngest to the oldest, will regret crossing me. Damn fuckers!"

Her anger reverberated through her body, causing her to stomp her feet forcefully. Her expression twisted into a fearsome mask of rage. She continued, her voice dripping with contempt, "And as if mocking me wasn't enough, they had the nerve to even consider selling me to a brothel. Ugh, those repulsive, lustful fiends! Who do they think they are? I'm not some object to be traded and exploited. No, they'll learn their lesson the hard way. They'll regret it Disgusting, lustful fiends! They will pay dearly for their repulsive fantasies."

Eva couldn't help but be taken aback by this unexpected side of Aurianna. The outpouring of rage and determination impressed her, challenging the preconceived notions she held. "That's new, I thought she was a goody-goody," Eva observed, her gaze filled with a hint of reluctant admiration.

Determined to make her enemies pay for their atrocities, Aurianna's voice seethed with determination. "I'll get rid of them all... All those bastards who conspired against me. Once I obtain power, I will ensure their demise. And as for those jackasses of heroes, I'll castrate them when they return!"

Her teeth gritted in anger, the atmosphere in the room grew chilling as ice crystals began to form, spreading through the room like wildfire and mirroring the intensity of her wrath. The room itself bore witness to her fury, becoming a frozen domain that echoed her seething rage.

Eva watched as Aurianna's anger transformed the very environment around her, recognizing the immense potential within her.

"To think my own so-called family would have done that to me. Those liars! Just thinking about it makes my blood boil. I wanna rip their faces, torture them, cut them into pieces, and feed them to the beasts!" Aurianna's voice quivered with a mix of fury and vindictiveness. The ice crystals in her room contorted and twisted, transforming into menacing spikes that reflected the intensity of her anger.

Eva maintained a solemn silence, allowing Aurianna to express the depths of her rage. She understood the weight of Aurianna's emotions and the desire for retribution that burned within her. There was a certain power in giving voice to her grievances, in acknowledging the betrayal she had suffered.

As the room fell into a momentary silence, Aurianna's tone softened, and she let out a weary sigh. "Unfortunately, that might be impossible since I can't use magic anymore." The ice crystals, no longer fueled by her anger and responding to her calmer state, gradually receded and slowly grew smaller.

Eva couldn't help but scoff at Aurianna's self-perceived limitations. "Did you miss the part where we went back in time? Really, how dumb are you?" she taunted.

Aurianna pouted, feeling a mix of frustration and embarrassment from Eva's Remark. "So what? I'll just become a Saintess again, and a Saintess can only learn healing magic."

Eva's expression turned incredulous as she shook her head in disbelief. "Who said Saintesses can't use any other magic? They restricted your progress and limited your abilities so that they could control you. But now that you've gone back in time, you have the opportunity to break free from those constraints and learn any form of magic you desire. Can't you see the ice crystals around? All this is your power."

"My power?" Aurianna looked around in awe, her eyes widening as she took in the ice crystals that had materialized all around her. They filled the room, glistening with an otherworldly beauty. Some sprouted from the ground like frozen tendrils, while others adorned the walls and ceiling, creating an ethereal atmosphere.

Eva's question echoed in Aurianna's mind, igniting a fire within her. The strange chill in the room intensified, causing frost to form on the walls and floor. Aurianna's breaths became deep and heavy, each inhalation filling her lungs with the icy cold air.

Her fists clenched so tightly that her nails pierced her skin, but she felt no pain. The surge of power and determination coursed through her veins, fueling her resolve. Her voice quivered with a mixture of anger and determination as she spoke, "On my twelfth birthday, I will be proclaimed the Saintess, and before then, I will become strong enough to make them all suffer for what they've done to me! They will witness their own downfall as I take their lives with my own hands!" Her gaze swept across the room haughtily, the icy tendrils of rage responding to her commanding presence.

Eva's smirk widened, a sinister glimmer in her eyes. "Good," she said with a dark satisfaction. "Let's get started then."
