Spencers POV
Last night was absolute magic. You can not convince me otherwise. Don't even try.
If only I could have captured the moment somehow..
But here we are, in the back of my Bronco. I'm watching the sun slowly start to peak through the trees as I play with my girl.. my fiancé's, hair.
God.
I will never tire of being able to call her that.
I guess until I can call her my wife, anyway.
Every moment from last night is replaying in my mind, EVERY moment. I lean my head back and close my eyes, knowing this perfect moment is real. It's all real.
I let the smile pull across my lips as I recount Nats reactions. How her eyes lit up when she saw the lights. As she heard the music play. Even when I first started singing. When she realized I was proposing.
I'm committing it all to my memory.
"What are you thinking about, fiancé?" Natashas incredibly sexy morning voice brings me to open my eyes and let the memories fade for now.
"Thinking about you. Always." I move some hair out of her face. "My beautiful fiancé."
"Mm. Say that again."
"Fiancé." I drawl it out a little, really let it roll off the tongue.
"I love hearing you say that."
"I love saying it to you."
She brings her left hand up in the view of both of us. "I don't know how you did it. It's perfect and beautiful and.. I've never seen anything like it."
"Well, you are the only one for me. You are the most special person in my life. You deserved something as unique as you."
She places her head back on my chest for a beat before she looks back up at me. "I don't know how you even found it."
"I don't know how I was so lucky to find you. But, I must admit. I didn't exactly stumble upon this ring."
"What do you mean?"
"I may have gone to a custom place and had it specially made."
"Bub.. that had to be crazy expensive. I mean look at it, it's.."
"There's no price tag when it comes to you. I don't really get to spoil you. I wanted to."
"Well, thank you. I love it."
I kiss her nose. "I love you."
She giggles and.. I fall apart. Smiling like an idiot, pure happiness bursting from my chest. And that's probably cheesy, but I don't care.
"You are beautiful."
"You.." she crawls up me, slowly, keeping eye contact. "You deserve to be spoiled."
And ooh.. that spark in her eyes..
I take this opportunity to flip us around, cutting her off from anything else she might say.
She pouts a little bit.
But that just fuels my fire even more.
"You.." I let my eyes wander from her eyes to her lips.. trailing farther down.. "my love." I bring my eyes back up. "You deserve to see the stars that plague the sky."
"Didn't you treat me enough last night?" She whines a little.
Again, it's just fuel.
"Oh, princess. You know daddy loves when you test me."

So now we're back at Alexei and Melinas, just walking through the door.
Well, some of us are walking.
Others are limping.
"Let me see it, let me see it!" Yelena comes running out of her room once she hears the door close.
Nat laughs at her excitement, but soon is showing her the ring and squealing along with her.
Who would have thought, two black widows squealing over a rock.
"Oh my gosh it's even more beautiful on!"
"Wait, you knew what it looked like? And you knew?"
"Uh, duh. Melina and I both went with Spencer when she picked out the ring. She asked all of us for our blessing," Yelena is still inspecting the ring.
But Nat turns to me. "You asked them for their blessing?"
There's a hint of maybe.. bewilderment?
My hand finds it's way to the back of my neck. Maybe I shouldn't have asked them. "Uh.. yeah. I mean they're your family and I wanted to take you.. okay, not take you, but, wanted to become part of your family? Not that I was thinking I needed their permission or anything.. I just.. I didn't want to do it without.."
There's lips crashing into mine, stoping me from talking any more.
I graciously accept and return it.
"Okay, enough love birds," I can hear the disgust in Yelenas voice.
We pull away but she keeps me close, "that is actually really adorable."
I scrunch my nose. "Adorable?"
"Yes," she's sure.
"Okay then."
"Ah! Natasha, Spencer! Congratulations, yes?!" Well, Alexei is here.
We turn to him and see Melina following close behind.
"Let's see it!"
"What if I said no?" Nat asks sarcastically.
"Please. You are like puppy with her. No way you would say no," Alexei doesn't take that.
"It's true. Besides, I don't think you would be here kissing if you said no," Melina points out.
Nat rolls her eyes. "Whatever." Then proudly shows off her ring to her parents.
"Holy shit.. Spencer. I know you did not buy this on your money from random tattoo appointments," Alexei blurts out.
Melina hits him in the chest. "Alexei. That is none of your business." Then she smiles at me, "it truly is beautiful. You did a good job."
I return the smile. I know, a lot of smiling going on. "Thank you. And no, I didn't Alexei. But I happen to have some money in some very lucrative investments." I wiggle my eyebrows.
I can tell Alexei wants to ask some further questions, but once again Melina stops him.
"That's amazing dear. We're just glad you're going to officially be in the family. And that you make our Natasha so happy." She does that mom thing where she squeezes Natashas cheeks.
Natasha doesn't know how to react, so it's quite comical.
"Now this qualifies for a celebration! How about dinner?"
How can you say no to food?
So I helped Melina prepare some food as Nat Yelena and Alexei talked in the living room.

Nats POV
I'm sipping some vodka as Yelena, Alexei and I chat.
"So, was it super romantic? Did you cry?" Alexei asks.
I almost want to say no, but I don't want to lie. "Like a baby. And yes, very. She recreated.. wait, you guys didn't know what she was planning?"
"No idea. We knew she was proposing and that it was somewhere here in Russia," Yelena says as she takes the rest of her vodka.
"She kept it very close to her vest." Alexei agrees.
"Now, go on. Tell us. Without all of the details." Yelena raises an eyebrow because she knows.
So I start telling them how she had lights set up along the pond where she took me for our first date, how she had recorded some songs of her playing the violin. How she sang. (Yeah, they got a kick out of that.) How I found her kneeling after she spun me, then how she poured her whole heart into asking me.
Of course I mentioned the blankets and food in the back of the Bronco with star gazing. Our new tradition. But that's as far as I went.
"She is a special one. So cute." Alexei chokes out.
"Are you crying?" I ask him, a little in disbelief.
"Leave him alone," I whip my head over to Yelena to find her with tears too.
"You guys are babies."
"Please. You just said you cried. Like a baby!" Yelena exclaims.
I just laugh.
That's when Spencer and Melina come out with food so we join them at the table.
"Mm it all smells amazing." I kiss Spencers cheek.
"Thanks love, but it was all your mother."
"Don't lie Spencer." Then she looks at us, "She's full of shit."

Spencers POV
As we start eating, the conversations start to pick up again.
"So, are you excited to start planning a wedding?" Melina asks me.
"I am excited to marry the love of my life. As for the wedding plans.. I'm going to mostly let Nat take the reigns. I'll be there to help with whatever she needs me for."
It's not like I've been secretly planning my wedding or anything..
"We'll plan it together," Nat says, squeezing my thigh.
"Absolutely." I agree. Like I said, whatever she needs.
"Are you excited to tell the team?" This time it was Alexei.
Right.. because they don't know..
"Yes! I can't wait to see their faces! Clint is going to shit himself," Nat laughs.
I kind of make a guilty face..
"Actually, love.."
"Yeah?"
"They um.. I may have already told them I was.. proposing."
Her eyes go wide. "Clint knows?!"
"And Laura.."
"What.. when we went to their house?"
"Yeah.."
"You sneaky little.."
"Hey, in her defense, she wanted to make sure Laura approved before she asked you," Yelena vouches for me.
"Her approval?"
"Well yeah. I know they're important to you, too.. I didn't want to ask without being able to meet them."
"Such a cute dork," then she kisses my nose.
Well.. alright then.
"Wait. How many of them actual know?" She narrows her eyes at me.
"Well.. um. Tony, Bucky and Steve."
"Um.. okay. Why?"
"Well I asked Bucky and Steve to distract you so we could go look for a ring. And I asked Tony his favorite jewelry stores. He wouldn't tell me unless I told him why," I confess.
"So when Steve wanted to spar that one time?"
"Yup. Distraction."
"You're unbelievable."
"In a cute way?"
"In a very sweet, I love you way."
"I love you too." I give her a quick kiss. "But.. there's one more thing."
"Oh boy.. do I even want to know?"
"Maybe," I shrug. "They may be planning a little bit of an engagement party at the compound as we speak," give my best smile.
She shakes her head. "Okay, I can go along with a party. So everyone knows?" She questions.
"No. But no one questions when Tony wants to throw a party."
"That couldn't be more true."
And so we finished our meal, enjoying some time as a family.
But we still have that party to look forward to.
