Alexander had just gotten off the ship from Nevis. He was finally in New York. The greatest city in the world.
In Nevis, Alexander would write everything down and turn those pages of writing into songs.
Once he got off the boat, he noticed a sign.

SIGN UP AT THE RICHARD RODGERS THEATRE FOR ANYONE BETWEEN THE AGES OF 10-20
TAKES PLACE: RICHARD RODGERS THEATRE ON MARCH 24th
LAST CHANCE TO SIGN UP: MARCH 20th
19 year old Alexander Hamilton realized that today was March 20th so he ran. He ran to the Richard Rodgers Theatre hoping he could be able to sign up.
He got there on time, talked to the very helpful and kind lady at the sign up desk and got a shot to be on stage.

A few days later, it was finally the day of the Talent Show. He had rehearsed countless times over the past few days and knew he was ready.

Finally it was his turn and he walked on stage. He stood in front of the microphone and gave the guy in the sound booth a thumbs up. The sound booth guy nodded and started the track Alexander gave him. Alex waited for his cue and started singing.

Once he was finishes, the audience erupted into cheers and he got a dull standing ovation.
He smile widely and waved before walking off stage. As he walked off, he accidentally bumped into the girl going next.
"I'm so sorry-" He said and helped her pick up her sheet music.
"It's alright." She said, her voice sweet and angelic. She extended her free hand towards Alex. "I'm Eliza." She smiles.
Alex shook her hand and shook it gently. "I'm Alex."
"Well Alex, you were amazing." Eliza says.
Alex smiles. "Thanks. I think you'll be better though." He flirts.
Eliza blushed deeply and looks up at the taller boy. "I have to go now, see you after?" She asks.
Alex nods. "Definitely."
