"S-Sir? Are you sure this is a good idea?" The shy deer assistant asked her friend and boss.
"My dear, I'm a hundred percent sure and how many times have I told you not to call me 'sir'. It's Alastor to you, my dear." Y/n looked down
"I'm sorry sir— I-I mean, Alastor." The radio demon smiled at her before he turned to the door of the Happy Hotel and knocked.
The door opened to reveal the princess of hell, Charlie Magne.
"Hel—" Alastor got the door slammed on him and it was a brief moment before the door opened again "—lo!" Charlie then slams the door against his face once more and Y/n looked up at Alastor, "A-Are you alright?" Alastor gave the smaller deer a nod and the door opened once again.
"May I speak now?" Alastor asked and Charlie looked up at him, "You may."
Alastor then reaches his hand out, "Alastor! A pleasure to be meeting you, sweetheart! Quite a pleasure!" Alastor let himself in while Y/n stayed outside the hotel, giving a questioning look at Charlie that sighed and let her in as well.
"Excuse our sudden visit, but I saw your fiasco on a picture show, and I just couldn't resist! What a performance! Why I haven't been that entertained since the stock market crash of 1929! Hahahahaha, so many orphans..." Alastor said as he walked further into the hotel but he soon got stopped by Vaggie that holds a harpoon toward his chest.
"Stop right there! Cabrón Hijo de perra, I know your game and I'm not gonna let you hurt anyone here, you pompous cheesy talk show shitlord—huh?!"
Y/n didn't hesitate and silently got behind Vaggie and held her dagger against Vaggie's throat. Alastor watched, amused. "You can let her go, dear," he spoke. Y/n looked at Alastor before letting Vaggie go.
Vaggie groaned and rubbed her throat. Y/n looked down and mumbled a sorry. Alastor held a hand on her shoulder and gave her his significant smile before he then walked back to stand before Vaggie and Charlie, "No! I'm here because I want to help!"
Charlie and Vaggie looked at him like he was crazy, "Say what now?"
"Help! Hahaha, hello? Is this thing on? *taps on his mic* Testing, testing!" Alastor's Mic opens its eye and looked up at its owner, "Well I heard you loud and clear!"
Y/n watched the mic staff with a spark in her eyes. Alastor noticed and chuckled to himself.
"Um, you want to help? With...?" Alastor teleports behind the two girls with his shadow "This ridiculous thing you're trying to do! This hotel! I want to help you run it." He said, pointing to himself. "But... why?" Charlie looked at him skeptically.
Alastor laughed, "Why does anyone do anything? Sheer, absolute boredom! I've lacked inspiration for decades. My work became mundane, lacking focus, aimless! I've come to crave a new form of entertainment!" he laughed.
"Does getting into a fistfight with a reporter count as entertainment...?" Charlie asked, referring to earlier today. Alastor laughed once again, "It's the purest kind, my dear: Reality! True passion! After all, the world is a stage and the stage is a world of entertainment. Right, Y/n dear?"
"Hm? O-oh, yes indeed," she said with a shy smile. Making Charlie smile a little at the shy demon.
"So does this mean you think it's possible to rehabilitate a demon?" Charlie asked and Alastor laughed while he shakes his hand in front of her, "Of course not! That's wacky nonsense! Redemption, oh the non-existent humanity! No no no no, I don't think there's anything left that could save such loathsome sinners!" The radio demon looks over to Vaggie who is offended and Angel who just shrugs.
"The chance given was the life they lived before, the punishment is this! There is no undoing what is done!" He said and Charlie stepped towards him once more
"So then, why do you wanna help me if you don't believe in my cause?"
"Consider it an investment in ongoing entertainment for myself!" He said and pulls Charlie close to him and twirls her. "I want to watch the scum of the world struggle to climb up the hill of betterment only to repeatedly trip and tumble down to the fiery pit of failure!"
Charlie stares at him before she removes his hand from her back, "Right."
"Yes, indeedy! I see big things coming your way and who better to help you than I?"
Y/n watched as Alastor dragged Charlie away and sighed. She looked down at the floor, lightly kicking some visible dust when she felt someone nibble on her leggings. She looked down to see a pig and crouch down to pet it "Hi there." The pig crawled onto her lap and laid himself on his back. She petted his stomach when she felt someone staring at her. You looked up from the pig to see Angel standing in front of her. "I-Is he yours?" Y/n asked shyly and Angel smirked "Yeah. His name is Fat Nuggets."
"Fat nuggets... it suits him." she giggled.
Some feet away, Alastor was watching you and Angel play with the pig. He was happy you were having fun and smiled for once but he didn't like that it was Angel and a pig that made you smile and not him— Alastor shook his head lightly and turned back to Charlie.
"Okay, so, Al. You're sketchy as fuck and you clearly see what I'm trying to do here as a joke. But I don't. I think everyone deserves a chance to prove they can be better. So I'm taking your offer to help. On the condition that there be no... tricks or voodoo strings attached." The princess said while making gestures with her hands.
"So, it's a deal then?" Alastor twirls his mic staff and presents his hand for a handshake as green energy bursts throughout the hotel.
Charlie stares at it before refusing his handshake, "Nope! No shaking! No deals! I... hmm... As princess of Hell and heir to the throne, I, uh, hereby order that you help with this hotel. For as long as you desire... Sound fair?"
Alastor rubs his chin "Hmm... Fair enough!" Charlie then sighs in relief and gave him thumbs up, "Cool beans."
Alastor began to walk around the lobby to look at everything, humming a tone when he suddenly walked past Vaggie and he stopped walking. "Smile, my dear! You know you're never fully dressed without one!" He soon walks away as he continues humming.
"So where is your hotel staff?" He asked while approaching Charlie once more.
"Uh, well—" Charlie gestures towards Vaggie who's staring Alastor dead in the eyes.
Alastor adjusts the monocle as Y/n walks over to him to stand by his side again, "Ohohoho, you're going to need more than that." He said and walks towards Angel Dust "And what can you do, my effeminate fellow?"
"I can suck your dick!"
"HAH! No."
Angel scoffs "Your loss."
☾Skip after meeting Niffty & Husk☽
Y/n stood by an open window behind everyone as she watched them get along with Niffty and Husk. She was looking down at her feet when she suddenly felt someone grab her arm and drag her out of the hotel.
Her mouth was covered by someone on her shoulders as she tried to break free, but nothing worked.
Alastor looked around the room to try and find his assistant but did not get a single sight of her. He assumed she just went to check around the hotel. But he has a weird feeling in his stomach. He narrowed his eyes and held tight to his mic staff as the feeling only grew, he knew something was wrong. He then turned back to the bar and smiled at Charlie, "So, whaddaya think?"
Charlie smiled brightly at him, "This is amazing!" She said while rubbing her cheeks excitedly. Vaggie crossed her arms, "It's... okay." Alastor laughed and reels the two towards him, "This is going to be very entertaining!"
The song came to an end and they all heard a scream of pain come from outside. None of them didn't think much of it except for Alastor who recognized the voice. He ran out of the hotel with the others following.
They noticed the skyship and two familiar faces. There in the skyship stood Sir Pentious, holding Y/n in his arms and a knife against her throat.
Alastor narrowed his eyes at the snake demon and that's when Sir Pentious noticed them. "Well, well, well. We finally meet yet again, Alastor! And it seems I have something... that really holds you dear. Isn't that right, my pet?"
"Let her go!" Charlie yelled.
"Shut up! I don't care if you're the princess! No one does, so go back to that tiny stink hotel you got there." Charlie looked down sadly at his words.
Alastor locked his eye with you and he could see you were in so much pain. He still stayed calm and waited for the right time to strike. "I have taken this beauty to become my pet and lover. And I'm sure you will love every second of my nails digging into your soft skin..." Sir Pentious growled as he dragged one of his nails down her arm.
Alastor noticed the blood dripping down from her arm and snapped.
With a snap of a finger, he opens an otherworldly dimensional portal with tentacles and shadows of demons emerging from it. The tentacles go to attack and destroy Sir Pentious's ship while he and Y/n are inside.
The others stared in shock and worry as they thought Y/n was dead but what the others didn't know was that one of the tentacles had wrapped itself around Y/n and brought her to the ground.
They noticed her and ran over to her while Alastor finished it off as he clenched his fist with a few drops of blood dripping off his hand.
He is then grinning menacingly in satisfaction for a moment as the others look over at him in shock and horror. Alastor breaks the tension and walks over to the group.
He slowly kneels down in front of Y/n and picks her up. "Y/n wake up... You're safe now." He whispered, still worried that she was extremely hurt. She slowly opened her eyes and locked them with Alastor's red once.
"Alastor..." she said.
"It's okay now, dear. No need to be frightened." Y/n quickly hugged the deer that was surprised by the sudden tough but he soon went for it and hugged back. "I... I love you, Alastor." Y/n whispered extra quietly so only he could hear.
Alastor smiled and held her cheek so she looked at him. "I love you too, my dear," he whispered in the same tone.
They gazed into one another's eyes and smiled as the others watched the moment between the two. Charlie and Niffty smiled brightly, Vaggie smiled slightly, and Angel glanced over at Husk whose smile faded when eyes landed on him. Angle snickered a little.
Alastor suddenly picked up his assistant in his arms and turned to the others.
"Well, I'm starved! What about you dear?" Y/n smiled and nodded. "Well then! Who wants some Jambalaya? My mother once showed me a wonderful recipe for Jambalaya. In fact, it nearly killed her! Hahaha! You could say the kick was right out of Hell! Ohoho, I'm on a roll! Yes, sir! This is the start of some real changes down here! The game is set! Now..."
Alastor looked down at his lovely deer and uses his magic for the last time in the episode to change the sign atop the hotel from "Happy Hotel" to "Hazbin Hotel".
Alastor leaned closer to Y/n's face and growled sinisterly. Y/n did the same and hugged him around the neck as the two spoke in unison, "Stay tuned!"
