CHAPTER 46: Hear My Heart

In my room right now, particularly on my study table doing stuff on one of my subjects, CHEM102. I've been so busy these days reviewing and doing homework on my subjects. There are a lot of things to do and it frustrates me.

Tumigil muna ako sa ginagawa ko at pinaglaruan ang ballpen sa mga daliri ko. Pinaiikot-ikot ko ito na parang fidget spinner.

Hindi mawala sa isip ko 'yong nakita ko kagabi.

Roma and Kuya Chester were together while lighting up some mini sky lanterns and they seemed so happy. My heart ached at that moment. But I can't do anything but just to watch them from afar.

Padabog kong nilapag ang ballpen ko sa mesa.

Damn it! This is really frustrating.

I guess I must do these quick so I can have some time for Roma. I can't take it anymore seeing her with another guy.

Besides, I already miss her.

Tumingin ako sa orasan at nakitang mag-a-alas dose na pala ng madaling araw.

Wait, maybe I should take a visit on her room. Kahit sandali lang. I'll just check up on her. So, I stood up and walk towards my door.

Then, I stopped all of a sudden.

Wait, what would be my excuse to see her? Think, Caden. Think. There should be a reason so Roma wouldn't mind.

I let out a sigh. Nah, I think she's already sleeping right now. Maybe I'll just glimpse on her. Yeah, that's it.

Lumabas na ako sa kuwarto ko para puntahan si Roma. Twelve steps lang ang layo ng kuwarto ko mula sa kanya.

Nang nasa tapat na ako ng kuwarto niya ay kakatok sana ako pero nakita kong nakaawang ang pinto. Kaya naman dahan-dahan na lang akong sumilip.

Madilim na sa kuwarto niya pero may kaunting liwanag pa rin dahil bukas ang table lamp sa study table niya.

Ginala ko ang paningin ko sa loob at nakita kong nakayuko si Roma sa mesa niya.

"Roma?"

Then I carefully entered her room. Nilapitan ko siya at nakitang tulog na siya. Bakit naman dito siya nakatulog?

I notice those things over her table. A lot of typewriting scattered everywhere, eraser dusts, erasers, her drawing pencils, and a notebook.

She's already sleeping soundly. How can I wake her up now to make her go to her bed?

Nakabuka ang notebook niya kaya't naisip kong kunin ito. Binuklat ko ang pages nito at nakitang puro notes lang tungkol sa mga manga na ginagawa niya.

"Title, genre, cast of characters, description, plot summary," I read.

A smile curved on my lips. She's really into this. She's taking notes of every detail of her work. How great.

I closed her notebook and put it back on her table. When I looked at her bed, I noticed that there's something in there so I came to see it.

I crossed my arms while looking at it. The lazy cat of Roma, Yoru.

"Hey, lazy cat. How dare you sleeping there while your master is away?"

Mukhang mahimbing din na natutulog ang pusang 'to kaya naman niyugyog ko si Yoru para magising. At nang magising naman ito ay binugaw ko 'to kaya naman tumakbo ito kaagad paalis.

Binalikan ko naman si Roma at pinagmasdan siya ulit.

"You know what, honey? Your beauty tortures my heart in a good way," I murmured as I touch her hair gently.
