Chapter 16 : Annoying !

I woke up in a daze . A hand suddenly hold my hand . Startled, I open my eyes . I saw Prince, giving me a worried gaze . Feeling confused, I tried to touch him .

Warm , am I alive ? Then what's about my dream where I was sent to cold palace by empress Susan! I was confused actually and I don't feel any good. I lifted my body forward, but for my shock, Prince quickly help me .

" Bring medicine ." Prince shouted. Looking at his hand, I felt nothing. It's been long since I was infront of him again !

Suddenly Prince embraced me tightly. I simply leaned onto his chest . I was happy , thinking that it's not my dream ..... it's reality and Prince is besides me. I never imagined that after woking up , I will greeted by Prince . It's all like a dream . I was anxious if I woke up and nothing happens again ? I tightly grasped him . But suddenly Prince laughed. Feeling embarrassment , I lowered my head .

Those days were painful for me . I always felt lonely after woking up ; started having many baseless nightmares . I guess weakness broken my heart and mind as I continuously missed my Prince . I love him, surely I will miss him ! As his wife, no matter what I am nothing without him. Although he ignores him , that's part of marriage. As his wife, I can't be selfish to claim for his attention everyday. For him, a little bit of affection and care for him always remain inside me no matter what.

Suddenly I noticed Rose , she was kneeling infront of us , weeping slowly. Feeling confused , I tried to ask her . Before I opened my mouth ,Prince directly scooped up medicine and feed me. I drank slowly as Prince quitely feed me those liquids . The bitter taste is hard to swallow , but I endure it. Prince is with me , so I don't mind anything else.

After drinking mouthful of medicine , I hesitated to finish it . I stopped myself.

I can't.

I lifted my head and glanced at the Prince slowly hoping, he will stopped forcing myself for drinking those bitter medicine.

" Swallow it , Edna ." Prince said to me lovingly again . I can't reject him now , I sighed .

After finishing the medicine, I felt much better. Slowly I feel my strength again . I again lean into his body with a smile , searching for warmth .

" Now , speak ." Rudely Prince interrupted my happy moment . Feeling confused , I looked forward .

" I didn't do it , Milady. Please believe me ." Rose knelt on the floor , her face looks ghostly pale and terrified.

" What is happening? Rose , why are you kneeling here ? Please stand up ." I weakly replied .

" Edna , don't give her any pity . She doesn't deserved it . She had poisoned you . Did you hear me !" Prince rudely shouted.

" What !" I widden my eyes as I looked at her direction. I always treated my maids equally . I never thought they will poison me someday ! Whenever Prince left me alone, they were the ones who stays by my side. I felt suffocated. I refused to look at her tears and I refused to believe Prince , I moved my head on the other side as tears started to rolling out from my face .

"No , it's not possible. She can't betrayed me . Rose , why ?" I cried silently. I can't trust Prince nor support Rose over Prince command. I was practically inside a helpless situation.

" Edna , I found the evidence on her room . Do you think I will punished anyone without any proves ?" Prince spoke harshly. I only shook my head in fear .

Prince suddenly throw away a small bag towards Rose direction.

" Look , isn't this given to you by my wife ? I found traces of poison inside this bag. Now explain to your mistress , what happened actually. Why did you betrayed her ?" Hui Lee shouted madly . Everyone quitely shivered. I felt numb .
