Chapter 20 : Love or by scheming ?

In recent days , the temperature had dropped suddenly. It was really uncomfortable for everyone . Fog always covered the whole Empire . In the evening, the sky was again turned gloomy . People were anxious if suddenly rain started pouring, temperature will droped even more !

Inside the royal palace , Emperor Cong was coughing slightly . From the morning, he felt uneasy . His chest felt heavy like something is going to happen ! But nothing happened until the afternoon, he don't know why he was still feeling suffocated. He wants to meet his both older sons . But both of them were busy in their own work . His youngest son is only 14 years old . But still he couldn't understand what is not right !

" Seems like I was worried for nothing ."

He sighed as he stood up.
He wanted to take some sleep before dinner . He is slightly feeling unwell . As he stood up, his personal steward Lu came running towards him . He stood up feeling even more confused and scared honestly .

" Bad news , Your Highness. Bad news ." Lu knelt infront of him and started crying loudly .

Emperor Cong was shocked . His this steward had never cried in his entire life . What happened with him today?

" Stand up. Tell me quickly. What's happening ?" Emperor was anxious too . He don't want to hear any unwanted tragedy this moment. 

" Your Highness , Royal Consort Fa is ..... " Again he started crying pitifully . Emperor was shocked. He quickly take two step back and fall into his dragon chair .

" What happened to her tell me ." He shouted madly.

" Her high...hness found dead inside her Jade palace today...."

Before he could deliver the complete report ,Emperor suddenly collapsed on the floor from his throne chair .

" Your Highness, I request you to seek justice for her ..... YOUR HIGHNESS ." Suddenly steward Lu ran towards his majesty's side . It is a big news for the whole Empire. Royal Consort Fa is really kind hearted person and most well known lady of imperial palace . She will never going to kill herself . Something is really not right .

" Your Highness ." By looking at the drastic change of Emperor , he felt sad . Consort Fa is his majesty's true love . Both of them love each other. Surely it will be painful.

" Take me to her side ." Painfully Emperor Cong spoke  .

Upon arriving infront of the Jade palace with the help of head steward , everyone part away for making way for the Emperor.

" Your Highness, you shouldn't...." Suddenly Empress Susan stood near the Emperor. Before Empress could utter any word , Emperor Cong coldly gazed at her . That cold glare shuttered the Empress Susan slightly . She shivered lightly before composing herself well .

" Go away from this palace. I don't need your pity . If I found out that you were behind all of this , I'll kill you . Get out right now ." Emperor shouted madly .

Everyone present inside the Jade courtyard started murmuring slowly in fear. Empress Susan tightly grasp her hand as she tried to control her fury . This man is nothing but a powerless creature . So what he is an Emperor now ? Without her help , he is nothing . How could he embarrassed her infront of mere servants .
