Empty swings haunt empty hearts
An empty room, an empty home
Me without you feels like nothing's gone right
I don't know what to do. I feel so alone.
Everything reminds me of you
Your smile lit up, your smile warmed up
The same streets, the same sounds
But without you here, it comes out wrong.
The sarcasm, the cynical look
It was truly unique to you alone
But when I'm not beside you
It's not the same. It's incomplete. Without you there's no me
When will I realise that it's all just a dream
Looking out the window, waiting for an empty stream
It's time to move on, it's time to say goodbye
Sleepwalk to the end of the world; there'll be no more empty sighs
Quite different from my usual style I think, not many of the lines/verses rhyme and the rhythm isn't amazing but I like it still. The last verse was kind of inspired by Tangled/Rapunzel (depends which country you're from) the movie. Yeah I'm probably a little too old for Disney movies but what can I say? I'm a kid at heart :)
