Chapter 2: Where's The Birthday Boy?

James (TheOddOnesOut):

I grab another glass of punch, and go to my corner. There are people around me who I don't know, and the only person I do know is coming late.

I chug down my drink, and I feel a bit drowsy. I don't know if it's because I drank too much punch, or if it's getting hot in here. I recognized a few faces from the Trending tabs, but I don't really know the people in this party.

I walk up to a young man whom I've seem many times, but never met in person. He greets me with a smile, and says, "Hey, do you know where Nate is? I've been looking for him for like the past 5 minutes or so." Even though he seemed polite, it was weird that he didn't even introduced himself yet. I gave him a confused look, and he immediately got what I was trying to say. "Oh, sorry, my name is Matthew Patrick, but people know me as MatPat. I'm looking for the birthday man, Nathan Sharp." I then introduced myself. "My name is James Rallison, and everyone on YouTube knows me as 'TheOddOnesOut'. I think I've seen one of your videos before.. your voice sounds really familiar." We both talk for a while, sharing our experience on YouTube, until finally Jaiden decides to show up.

Jaiden: *Panting* James! There you are!! Aww man, I'm so sorry I left you for so along!!

She sees MatPat, and immediately takes back her words.

Jaiden: *Blushing* Oh.. U... Uh, sorry.. I was probably interrupting a conversation.. Uh, I'll leave now.

MatPat and I laugh a little as Jaiden scurries off, her purple dress trailing behind her. We both say goodbye, and I walk toward Jaiden, who's getting her own serving of punch. We both just chilled out near the treat table, getting hydrated by the punch. But soon, we both felt really really drowsy, that we had to sit down. My head was spinning, and I'm sure that Jaiden's was too. I called out to MatPat, since he was the only other person I know other then Jaiden. Matthew ran up to me and Jaiden, and he tried everything to keep us awake, but my consciousness kept drifting off. Finally, I lost all hope, and let go, letting the dark consume my eyes.
