Prologue

My heart hammered in my chest but still I ran, clutching my fainted Gardenia's Pokéball. I couldn't go back, I wouldn't go back. Samurai, my blue Galade ran slightly behind me, shielding me from the attacks of my perssuers. I knew he couldn't last much longer. He had sweat dripping down his head, like I did. His breath was laboured, like mine. But we continued to run.

~Paige. I can Teleport now.~

Good we had made it past the barrier

Both our body became cloaked in white light as I left the nightmare I had been living in for the past 7 years.

When the glowing stopped we were no longer in a desert, but a forest. I sighed with relief and collapsed onto my knees, Samurai did the same.

I scooted closer to him and wrapped my arms around him, pulling him into a hug that he returned.

He nodded. ~yes, we're finally free~

I sucked in a breath of fresh air and let it out again, much better, cleaner than I've breathed in years.

Yes, we are finally free.
