I quickly took the note from Cupid's hand and hid it behind my back.
"Note? He didn't say note, he said uh, b...BOAT. I threw away a paper boat he made..." I laughed uneasily.
Rachel and Rose stared at me not believing a word I said.
Shit, fuck, what do I do?!
"Right C—Eric?!" I asked hoping he'd play along.
"Actual—" Cupid started but quickly stopped when I stomped his shoe.
"Shit, I mean, yeah! I made a boat and this heartless kid threw it away," He played along.
"It's not a big deal you can always make a new one," Rose said bluntly.
"Yeah, you're right, I was overreacting" Cupid laughed.
"Say, why are you dressed up all fancy? And what's with the white and pink style?" Rachel asked suspiciously.
"Yeah, Eric why are you wearing a suit?" I asked, slowly losing my sanity.
"Oh, uh, hahaha, I have to wear it for...my...JOB! Uh, I work as a bartender at a fancy place far, far away from here."
Good cover-up.
"Oh, really? Cool! You should definitely show us sometime!" Rachel said believing the lies spouting out of Cupid's mouth.
"I'll see if I can, hahaha...the boss is kinda mean..." He said trying not to blow his cover.
Serves you right.
"Well, now that we know Eric is not busy, can we go out now?" Rose intervened.
"Yeah, totally, we should go."
The sooner we are out of here the better.

We ended up deciding to go to the movies.
"So what movie should we watch?" Rachel asked.
"I want to watch a romance movie," Rose said.
"I do too!" Cupid agreed.
Of course he wants to.
"Really?! You like romance movies?!" Rachel looked astonished.
"Yeah, is it weird?" Cupid looked self-conscious.
"No way, it's really cool!" Rose intervened.
"It's funny because Dylan hates romance movies," Rachel said spilling out unnecessary information about me.
"What? Why?" Cupid turned to look at me.
"Because I...just don't like them," I turned away and sighed.
"Well, too bad it's 3 against 1 loser!" Rose mocked.
I sighed, "Fine."

We watched some shitty romance movie called "Soon We'll Be Together." You can tell even by the title that it sucked, but all three of them came out of the theater bawling their eyes out.
"That was so fucking sad," Rachel wiped tears away from her cheek.
Rose and Cupid nodded their heads in agreement.
