Always knew it was you

The first task

I went down to eat breakfast and started eating.

"We're going to the Black Lake, coming? ", Hannah asked.

"Okay", I said and left for the lake.

Ginny, Colin, Euan, Dean, Seamus and Dennis were still sleeping.

I saw Harry and Hermione reading a lot of books by the lake. Krum was sitting at a distance from them, but stealing glances at her.

"He likes her", I thought. The hufflepuffs and I were discussing what the first task would be for the whole of the morning and went to the Great Hall for lunch.

A young Beauxbatons girl was sitting all alone at the Ravenclaw table. Dean and Seamus were playing wizard chess and Ginny, Colin, Euan and Dennis were playing UNO cards.

"Hey, everyone", I said.

"Don't disturb us", Dean and Ginny said at the same time.

"Fine", I said and started eating lunch.

"Excuse me, may I take this? ", the young girl asked.

"Okay, you don't have to sit alone. You can join me", I said.

"Okay", she said and sat beside me.

"I'm Neville Longbottom", I said, extending my hand.

"Gabrielle Delacour", she said shaking my hand.

"You are Fleur's sister? ", I asked.

She nodded.

"Do you like Hogwarts?", I asked.

"The castle is beautiful but I haven't talked to anyone", she said.

"You speak perfect English", I said, shocked.

"Many of my friends in Beauxbatons speak English", she said.

"Oh ", I said.

"I have to leave now. It was a pleasure meeting you, Neville", she said.

"Thank you and take care", I said.

"We have to support our champion, hope you don't mind", Susan said, walking over to me.

"Of course not. Tell him I wished him luck ", I said.

The Creevey brothers were trying to change the 'POTTER STINKS' badges.

Ginny, Dean, Seamus and I were now
hanging out with the Weasley twins who were planning to play a prank on Filch.

The two days passed extremely fast and it was time for the first task to take place. Dean, Seamus and I wished luck to Harry and went with the Hufflepuffs to the special arena where the first task was taking place.

"We were wrong about Harry", Ernie said.

"What happened? ", I asked.

"He helped Cedric. He told him about the first task. He shouldn't have done it", Justin said.

"What's the first task?", Dean and Seamus asked in unison.

"Dragons", Susan said and all three of us gasped.

"Don't worry, Cedric has been training all night. I'm sure Harry was training too", Hannah said.

"Let's hope", I said and all of us sat down.

Ron and Hermione were engaged in a deep conversation a few seats away.

Ginny, Colin, Euan and Dennis were too talking about something.
