Always knew it was you

The second 'first day'

"Abercrombie, Euan", professor McGonagall called. A blonde haired boy stepped forward. Professor Mcgonagall placed the hat on his hand. "Gryffindor", the hat shouted. All of us clapped. 

"Ackerly, Stewart", was sorted into Ravenclaw.

"Baddock, Malcolm", was sorted into Slytherin.

"Branstone, Eluan", was sorted into Hufflepuff.

"Cauldwell, Owen", was sorted into Gryffindor.

"Cornfoot,Stephen", was sorted into Hufflepuff.

"Dobbs,Emma" became a Ravenclaw.

"Entwhistle,Kevin"became a Slytherin.

"MacDougal, Morag", also became a Slytherin.

"Madley,Laura", became a Hufflepuff.

"Malone,Roger", became a Gryffindor.

"Pritchard, Graham", became a Slytherin.

"Quirke,Orla", became a Ravenclaw.

"Rivers,Oliver" became a Hufflepuff .

"Roper, Sophie", became a Gryffindor.

"Runcorn, Derek" became a Slytherin.

McGonagall called many names and the students were sorted.

Finally, she called," Weasley, Ginny". A red haired girl, looking pale climbed and sat on a stool.

The sorting hat called,"Gryffindor" immediately.

"Ron's sister", Hermione whispered to me and I nodded.

All of us clapped, the Weasley twins were shouting and clapping hysterically.

She sat beside Fred and George Weasley who side hugged her. Percy Weasley shook her hand.

"Let the feast begin", said Dumbledore.

I started eating some roasted chicken and boiled potatoes.

The table was full of roasted beef,roasted chicken, boiled potatoes,
bacon and steak.

For dessert, we had apple pies, treacle tart and toffee pudding.

I finished dinner and climbed up to our dorm with Dean and Seamus. Harry and Ron entered the dorm a few while later.

We had heard that both of them had flown Ron's father's flying car to Hogwarts. Who told us? Fred and George Weasley were screaming about it in the common room.

I was scared for both of them, thinking about Hermione's reaction.

" Unbelievable ", said Seamus.

"Cool",said Dean

"Amazing", I said.

Both of them grinned and I went to sleep.

I woke up earlier than usual and changed into my robes. Then Dean,Seamus and I walked down to the Great Hall to eat breakfast.

"Did you hear? Harry and his friend drove a flying car to Hogwarts?", said Colin Creevey.

"Ya, we heard it", I said, walking past Colin who seemed to tell everyone about this.

We sat down to eat breakfast and the new Gryffindor prefect gave us our timetables.

All of the four tables were whispering something. Harry, Ron and Hermione entered the hall and started eating.

"Ron, is that your owl? ", said Dean pointing to an owl flying towards us.

It knocked over a bowl and fell or fainted, I don't know, on the top of a loaf of bread.

"Oh no", said Ron.

"It's still alive", said Hermione touching the owl lightly.

"It's not that", Ron began.

"Look everyone, Weasley's got himself a howler", said Seamus.

Ron was looking at the howler with horror.

"Go, on Ron, I once ignored a howler from my grandmom. It was horrible", I say.

It took me, every bit of my strength, to not think of that day.

Finally, Ron opened it and a voice, probably Ron's mother, bellowed through the hall.



Ron had turned red like his hair.

I didn't know what's redder -Ron's howler, Ron's hair or Ron himself.

I started eating again and I opened the timetable.

"Herbology",I said to Dean and Seamus, smiling.

Both of them nodded and we set out to our transfiguration classroom.

I saw Ginny weasley, standing confused in a corridor.

"Hello Ginny. I'm Neville Longbottom,Ron's classmate. Do you need any help?", I asked.

She nods and says," I have Charms now. But the classroom...".

"Oh it's classroom 2 E on the third floor of the Charms corridor. You have to go straight, turn left and then you'll reach the staircase. Go to the third floor and you can find the classroom", I said.

"Thank you", she says and rushes towards the staircase.
