John 3:16,  “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life."

Galatians 5:13, "For you were called to freedom, brothers. Only do not use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.

1 John 4:7, "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God."

God is love. That's right, you heard it correctly. God is love. What is love? The dictionary defines it as, "an intense feeling of deep affection". I think you could call the love our God has for us greater than an intense feeling. He loves us so much that He sent His one and only Son whom walked among us, loved us, pushed through out rejection, and died a painful death on the cross with the weight of our sins on His shoulders. Wow. That is love. Why did God send Jesus to do all this? To show us that love was a nice thing to keep in mind when we felt up for it? Somehow that doesn't sound very accurate. God put us on this earth to LOVE. Love that person that gets on your nerves at work, that person from your past relationship, and the one that slandered your name. God never said it would be easy, but He wants us to love our neighbor from the bottom of our hearts. The more you start to show this quality, it really does improve your way of life. Less hate means more joy! Who couldn't use more of that in their lives? So...all ya need is love, love. Love is all ya need! (Sings tune in head.)
