My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is steadfast and confident! - Psalm 57:7

Notice that this passage not only tells us to have a steadfast heart, but it also tells us to be confidence. I have noticed that maintaining confidence is key in this world. I know first hand what it's like to lose confidence. Last year was a prime example. I lost it during a very difficult time where God showed me what it means to lose. He wanted me to have a clear picture of what it's like to come in last place. Trust me, God's picture was crystal clear. I was so tired of losing that I would cry out to God. I hated it. I just wanted to win for once! When my confidence level dropped, so did my performance. I went in expecting to do bad, and what I expected usually became my reality. Thoughts dictate actions. Don't let them! Wake up every morning prepared to keep Satan under our feet. We can do this by confidently declaring what the Word says about us, such as: "I am more than a conqueror through Jesus. I can do all things through Christ Who strengthens me. I am triumphant in every situation because God always causes me to triumph." As we will see, that not only causes the devil to leave us alone, but it also strengthens our confidence! Don't let the devil win. Have a confident heart.
