(Chara's PoV)
Three Years. That's how long we've been up here, on the surface. Monsters have settled in perfectly. I live in an apartment on my own, and haven't seen Toriel or Asgore in about two years. Papyrus is always on my case about joining the Monster Guard, but I refuse everytime. Instead, I help Muffet in her bakery. I have less chance of hurting someone if all I'm doing each day is making baked goods.
Asriel Dreemurr, Prince of Monsters, is still ignoring my existence, but I'm okay with Prince of Rainbow Blasters doing that. I'm stronger than him anyway, so if he dares fight me... Heh...
I'm still a rookie with my magic, but Undyne pushes me to my absolute limits. Asirel can conjure stars and rainbows, whereas I can control fire and death itself. I'd be a valuable asset to the Guard, I'm sure, but I can't always control the powers... Like that one time I caused a deathly fire to spread across some woodlands, and I killed every living creature within five seconds. Undyne herself has a burn mark to show for that training day.
If you ask me or her, it looks epic.
Meh, I often just use my fire powers to cook all my donuts and cupcakes really quickly. That, or to warm myself up during winter.
Alphys, Undyne's girlfriend, is a really close friend of mine now too. I knew we'd get along, since we did in Frisk's timeline, so all I needed was anime. Mettaton and Napstablook are great friends too... We often jam together, and last year we went on a brief tour with out small band. It was really fun.
Um, I guess nothing has changed... I'm back to neutral, haven't killed a person in ages. And I haven't seen shortcuts try to open up around here recently, so that's all good.
Kinda like the calm before a storm... y'know?
