"Get out of bed quarter back." Dad said.
I got up. 3:30.
"Let's hustle Dad." I said.
I did a flip out of bed and hopped in the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and took a shower.
I put on some sweats and a shirt and my customized nikes that said Jay.
"I'm driving in the car and your running along side it." Dad said.
"What I'm getting in that car." I protested.
"Defeats the purpose. I want to see if you can keep up with the car quarter back." Dad said.
"Stop throwing that in my face." I said.
"Well I never wanted my daughter playing football with guys." Dad said.
"Dad play offs start in two weeks and I'm not quitting." I said.
"I know. Now come on." Dad said.
He got in the car.
I started right at the front.
"Keep up." Dad said.
"Where's my treat?" I asked.
Dad smirked.
"Aren't I a treat?" I heard Jay whisper as he put his arms around my waist.
"Fair. He's running with you." Dad said.
"Ok." I said smiling.
"Yeah you fell in love. Anyways no lovey stuff you two." Dad said.
We nodded.
"Now go." Dad said.
He started driving really fast and I started running fast. I passed the car and pushed Jay forward.
"Better pass this damn car. I don't want a slow boyfriend." I said sternly.
He nodded chuckling and grabbed my hand.
We were past the car. Way past it.
"Slow down!" Dad yelled.
"Speed up." I said smiling.

My Dad decided to watch the practice."Get to the 0 yard line!" Coach yelled.
I walked there.
"Now I'm not making a fool out myself to make you run or I'm getting my bat." Coach said.
"Let's go." I said. I hit my helmet.
"Come on if you can pass a car you can run!" Dad yelled making everyone look at him.
I laughed.
"Ready...Set...Run!" Coach yelled.
I dashed across the field and I was done before I even knew it.
"Yeah Brooks that's what I'm talking about!" Coach yelled.
I saw Dad watching closely. I think to make sure I don't get hurt. What a protective Dad I got.
"Yo look at the way he's watching bro to make sure you don't get hurt. What a great Dad." Audrey said laughing.
"He sure is." I said.
I chuckled and pushed Jays head back to give him water. He's like a fish sometimes.
"Thanks baby girl." Jay said. I smiled.
