Alexa's Pov

"Hey!" I exclaimed as Jason splashed me.

"Sorry." He said smirking.

I caught him by the leg and splashed him in the eye.

"Ha." I said laughing.

"Hey guys lunch in 10!" Mom yelled.

"Come on Jason we should get out." I said smiling.

"Yeah come on sis." Jason agreed.

We quickly got out and dried ourselves.

"You guys excited for school starting?" Dad asked.

"If you knew what school is you'd know I'd be excited." I said smiling.

"Nerd." My other older brother Christian says.

"Don't call my sister a nerd or I will kick your ass here and now." Jason threatened.

"Hey. There will be no ass kicking or I'll kick yours." Dad said sternly.

"Fine. But he can't talk about my favorite sister." Jason said.

"Right here." Alexis says.

"I know honey." Jason says hugging me.

"That's cold." Alexis says.

"Sorry." I say shrugging.

"You gonna play a sport this year?" Dad asked.

"Is he dreaming?" I asked laughing.

"Dad I don't play sports I read books. I'd suck at sports." I said.

"Why not? Play a sport. Play a sport. Play a sport." My siblings chanted.

"That's like me reading a book. She'd suck." Christian said.

"Oh yeah. You know what I can play? I could play football where I get to tackle your ass." I said.

"I'm stronger than you." Christian said.

"Ok. That's what you've thought for years." I said chuckling.

"You don't work out." Christian said.

"Ok buddy." I said.

"Ooh she's mad." Alexa said.

"Nah her eyes are gray. She's calm." Mom said.

They shrugged but I continued eating.

Once everyone was finished I went to go do the plates.

"That's ok honey." Mom said kissing my forehead.

I nodded smiling and went upstairs.

Well I was until Christian tripped me.

"Sorry." Christian said.

"That's it." I said and tackled him. He flipped me over and I flipped him right back over

"Alexa Brooks you better get your behind off of Christian or I'll whoop you." Dad said sternly.

I shrugged and continued tackling Christian and Dad pulled me off and smacked my behind.

"Fucking hell." I muttered in pain.

"Go to your room." Dad said.

"Well he tripped me and I'm going to show him that this nerd will kick his ass." I said.

"Don't make me mad. Go upstairs." Dad gritted.

"Fine. You always take Christians side." I said rolling my eyes.

"That's not true." Dad called.

I ignored him and walked to my room where my little sis and brother were.

"Christian got you in trouble?" My little brother Justin guessed.

I nodded.

"Dad always takes his side." I said.

"I always sorts kinda liked Mom more just saying." Alexis said.

Dad soon walked in and I turned away from him.

"Alexa." Dad said.

"Go talk to Christian." I said turning away from him.

"Oh my gosh I'm trying to talk to you!" Dad exclaimed losing it.

"Go ahead you can lose your temper and then replace this room." I said shrugging as I read a book.

"Alexa will you not be so difficult?" Dad asked.

"Nah I'm ok like this." I said.

"Fine." Dad said and walked out. He walked passed Mom and bumped into her.

"Alex what-"

"You better talk to your daughter before I lose it." Dad said.

"Thank goodness I'm a laid back parent." Mom muttered as she walked into our room.

"What did you do to your father?" Mom asked.

"The question is what did he do?" I asked.

"Oh hell no. You will not have a smart mouth with me or I will snack the living day lights out of you." Mom said.

"He lost his temper. That's not my issue. My issue is your interrupting my book." I said.

Slap.

"I don't like this smart mouth." Mom said.

"I don't give two shits about what you like." I said bluntly.

"Alexa stop it." Mom said.

"Why should I?" I asked.

"Because you're not going to like what I do." Mom said.

"Fine. I stopped! What do you want to tell me?! This better be fucking good if I'm not reading right now!" I snapped.

"Don't talk to me like that Alexa." Moms said calmly.

"Fine." I said.

"Why did you tackle your brother?" Mom asked.

"I tackled him because he tripped me but your tempered husband wouldn't know that because he takes Christians side because it's Christian." I said.

"That doesn't mean you tackle him. You know you could've hurt them because us women are stronger. But next time just give him the look and keep your eyes gray." Mom said kissing my forehead and I nodded.

I continued reading and Justin left the room and I fell asleep.
