Chapter 59

I walked to school and Jay was waiting by my locker with roses.

"Hey Jay." I said smiling. I pecked his lips before going through my locker.

"Alexa." Jay said.

I turned around and Jay got on one knee.

"Will you go to prom with me?" Jay asked.

"Wait why would I go to prom when I could be at home doing homework?" I asked him confused.

He laughed and so did everyone around laugh.

"Our typical grade quarter back. Nerd." One guy said laughing.

"Because you love me and I love you." Jay said.

"Wait so because I love you I'm going to do the dumbest thing in my life?" I asked.

Jay laughed.

"You are such a difficult girl. But will you Alexa Brooks please go to prom with me?" Jay asked.

I looked around realizing there was no other Alexa Brooks.

"Am I wearing a dress for you?" I asked.

"Please." He said.

"Our wedding day better be the last time. I'll go to prom with you." I said

He smiled as everyone clapped. He crashed his lips on mine but I pulled away.

"People Jay." I said.

"You're so beautiful." Jay said.

"Hey get to class and stop admiring my body." I said.

Jay chuckled.

"I love you." He said.

"Love you too." I said.

I saw a girl talking to Jay. Almost flirting with him. She grabbed his hands and was playing with them.

"Maybe we could have a little fun." She said and I gasped.

"Yeah sure." He said smiling.

I glared at Jay before walking to my locker. I put my stuff in there and it was lunch but I slid down and started doing my homework.

"Hey baby girl." Jay said.

"Don't fucking talk to me." I snapped at him.

"Look. I don't know what I did but lose the pretty little attitude baby girl." Jay almost snapped.

"Wouldn't you be rather having fun with another girl?" I asked.

Jay laughed but not humorously.

"You think I accept all the girls that throw themselves at me?" Jay snapped at me.

"Yeah I do." I snapped. No.... I shouldn't have said that.

"No I don't because I don't love them like I love you." Jay snapped his voice raising.

"Yeah you do. You love them because they give you sex something I'm not ready to do." I snapped at Jay.

"I don't want sex anymore. I want you." Jay said.

"You're lying! I literally just saw you say yes to a girl that asked you to have 'fun'!" I snapped.

"I was lying to the girl. Not you. But if you don't believe me then don't believe me." Jay said.

"Jay." I called.

"What?" He snapped.

"I didn't mean to-"

"No you never believe anyone when they tell you something. I'm done." Jay said.

"What about us being in this together?" I asked. Jay looked at me.

"Fine I guess I don't mean anything to you." I snapped.

Jay crashed his lips on mine.

"You'll always mean something to me." He whispered against my lips.

"You promise?" I asked.

"I promise." He said smiling.

He kissed my neck and pecked my lips and pulled away.

"Don't ever think I'd choose anyone over you. Especially not for sex." Jay said.

"Now where's my smile?" Jay asked as he kissed me all over my face and threw me in the air. I giggled.

"Alright everyone sit." Coach said.

I sat down in Jays lap as he stroked my hair.

"The play offs are in the next two weeks. We practice in the morning and we practice 7th and 8th period because other coach needs Brooks and James." Coach said.

"So you're telling me to miss 7th and 8th period for football?!" I yelled.

Coach chuckled.

"You're teachers knows and there ok with it." Coach said.

"We better win because if I don't win this championship game and I missed them periods I'm cutting someone." I said to the team.

They nodded.

"Get to the 0 yard line before I change my mind." I said.

Everyone smiled as we ran to the 0 yard line. Actually Jay carried me there.

I put my arms around him getting lost in his smell.

"Baby girl you smelling me?" Jay asked.

"You smell good." I defended.

Jay smiled and gave me a hug.

"Hey Smith stop messing with my quarter back!" Coach yelled.

"Sir yes sir." Jay said making me crack up but I quickly stopped.

Jay flashed me a heart symbol with his hands and I did the same.

"Ready Set... Go!" Coach yelled. I started running.

"Come on Brooks!" I heard Tom yell as the rest of the team walked inside.

I started running and I caught up to Audrey.

Once we were done we sat down.

Coach looked frustrated.

"You guys can't be running that slow on the field." Coach gritted.

We nodded.

"Again. And I better see you hustling out there Brooks. You're quarter back for a reason not because your girl and I want you to stand out." Coach said.

I nodded and got back to the 0 yard with my team. I hit my helmet.

"Run!" Coach yelled and I dashed. Even faster than Audrey.

"Yeah that's what I'm talking about Brooks!" Coach yelled.

I smiled and kept running and I finished.

"Brooks drop and give me 30." Coach said to only me.

I dropped and gave him thirty.

"Clap in between." Coach said. I really did them clapping in between.

"One hand." He said. I used one hand.

"You tired?" Coach asked.

"If you want me to get tired then I'm not tired." I said before pushing Jays head back and giving him water.

Coach smiled.
