Chapter 12

I texted Audrey to pick me up after breakfast.

The door bell rang and Mom opened it.

"Your friend is here honey." Mom said.

"You have friends." Christian muttered.

"Talk about my sister again. See if I don't kick your ass." Alexis said.

"Hey no ass kicking. No violence." Dad said.

"Thanks sis. Bye guys." I said. I kissed Alexis and gave Justin and Jason a bro hug and slapped Christian.

"Alexa." Dad said sternly.

I hugged him and gave him one of my kisses.

"Love you muffin." Dad said.

"Love you too." I said. I grabbed my book and ran to Audrey.

"Hey Alexa." Audrey said.

"Hey Audrey. And who's this little girl?" I asked smiling at the girl in the back who smiled back at me.

"I'm Aubrey." The girl said.

"Yeah she's a cutie. Here's a book Aubrey." Audrey said throwing her w chapter book.

"What grade are you in?" I asked.

"2nd grade." Aubrey replied.

"But she reads at a fifth grade level." Audrey said.

"Do you like basketball?" Aubrey asked.

"Yeah. Do you?" I asked.

"Yeah. Basketball is fun." Aubrey said.

"Aww you got a bright little sister." I said smiling.

"Yeah." Audrey said as if she was remembering something.

"Audrey are you ok?" I asked grabbing her hand.

"Yeah Alexa I'm fine."

I nodded deciding I would ask her later.

"Alexa can I stay at your place for a few nights please?" Audrey asked.

"Yeah." I said.

I think there's stuff about this girl I don't know.

We dropped Aubrey off and went inside school.

"Alexa can I talk to you?" Jay asked. By the way I've given up on trying to stop calling him Jay.

"Jay could you-"

"Baby girl two minutes." Jayden pleaded.

"No Jay." I said firmly.

Jayden picked me up and threw me over his shoulder like a sack of potatoes.

"Put me down!" I yelled.

"Don't make a scene." Jay said.

Kids laughed and I slapped him upside the head.

"Oww." Jay said.

"What do you want anyways?" I asked.

"You." Jay said.

"So you kidnapped me?" I asked.

"I didn't I just wanted to talk to you." Jay said.

"Yeah and I said no." I said.

"Alexa listen please." Jay said.

I nodded.

"You know I like you right?" Jay asked.

I nodded again.

"I know you like me." I said.

"Are you scared of me?" Jayden asked.

I looked down.

"I'm not ever going to hurt you." Jay said.

"Promise?" I asked looking up at him.

"Promise." Jay said smiling.

"Now where's that pretty smile?" Jay asked tickling me making me laugh.

"There it is." Jay said.

I smiled and he crashed his lips on mine. Our lips moved in sync until I pulled away.

"Lets get to class. We can't tell my Dad though." I said.

"Fine but I still want to you later." He said putting his arms around my waist.

"You see me all day at school." I said.

"That's not enough." He said and I laughed.

After school Audrey and Aubrey came to our house.

"Dad can a friend stay?" I asked.

"Yeah." He replied.

Audrey and Aubrey walked in.

"I didn't know you had a hot friend." Christian said.

Aubrey death glared at him and he put his hands up in defense.

"Thanks Alexa." Audrey said.

"No prob." I said.

"Daddy is going to beat-" Aubrey stopped mid sentence and everyone looked at the two.

"It's nothing." Audrey said quickly dismissing it and ran upstairs with her sister.
