Chapter 24

"We sure did." Tom said.

"Does this mean we get to skip running?" Paul asked hopefully.

"No." Coach said.

"Oh." Paul said duly as we got to 0 yards point. Even the patriots were doing it.

"You're doing this?" Peter asked.

"Yeah. Of course." Malcolm said.

Coach blew whistle and I took off running.

Shit I passed the whole patriots team. I didn't know I was that fast.

I sat down and started drinking water.

"Damn. What are you?" Tom asked me.

"Quarter back." I said.

"How do you run so fast?" Tom asked.

"I don't know. I just run. I play basketball too though." I said.

Tom nodded like he was thinking something.

"Are we playing with them?" Elisha asked.

"Yup." Coach said smiling.

I start with the ball not because Brady insists and he sits on bench.

I looked at the team and shit they looked huge. Am I even running? Holy shit. My eyes turned light purple.

"You scared?" Malcolm asked smirking.

I nodded.

"Set Hike!" I yelled and I started running but I got tackled. Shit this fat ass is on me. Like are you trying to kill me? I'm 142. Back the fuck up.

"You good baby girl?" Jay asked.

"Yes but damn." I said. Malcolm just chuckled.

"First down." Coach said.

I nodded. Malcolm gave me a thumbs up.

"Set Hike!" I yelled. I threw it to Peter who ran towards it and caught it. He scored a touch down.

"You seem scared." Tom said as he walked on.

I nodded. I mean if you see two hundred pound guys and you're like 142 you're gonna be scared.

I drank some water I thought about how long this week would be.

Tom scored. He's quick on his feet. I watched as his feet hit the ground and didn't even stay for a full second. He ran very fast.

They handed off the ball to me.

'Run.' Jay mouthed.

'No I'm not running they're huge.' I mouthed.

'You got it baby girl.' He mouthed back.

I sighed and nodded.

"Set hike!" I yelled.

I started running and Malcolm was about to tackle me but I slid through his legs and rolled and got up.

I don't know everyone's name. But another guy tried to tackle me and I did a flip over him with my right hand.

I had to slide again. Damn I do all this. But it's worth if you're where I am now.

Touch down!

"Damn. She got you good Malcolm." Tom said.

"Yup she got me. She's gonna be the next you but cooler and faster." Malcolm said. I smiled.

We did a few more plays and practice ended.

"See you kids tomorrow. And Alexa,keep doing you." Tom said and I smiled.

"I'm tired." I said.

"It'll be worth it at the end of the week." Jay said smiling at Jake.

"It's gonna be epic." Jake said smiling.

"Ok?" I said in more of a question.the guys just laughed at me. I'm the only one who doesn't know something.
