Living in the darkness.

Tumayo ako't hinanap ang kamay ng aking inang sumuporta at naging lakas ko sa mga panahong nilalamon ako ng takot. Sa mga panahong nilalamon ako ng kadiliman. 

My ears... It hears the cheering of my classmates, the applause from the crowd, the deafening sound coming from the speakers that's currently playing the graduation song..

Pinag-aralan kong pakinabangan ang tenga ko; ang parte ng aking katawan na nung una'y hindi ko masyadong binibigyan ng pansin. Sa ngayon, dito na ako umaasa. Dito na nakasalalay ang pagkilos ko.

With little and careful steps, I climbed the stairs towards the stage. 

"Congratulations, Chloe."

I nodded and lifted my hand in the air waiting for someone to hold it. Sure enough, naramdaman ko ang mainit na palad ng Dean ng aming unibersidad. I gave her a faint smile and tried to resist the lump in my throat from ascending to my eyes..

To my closed eyes.. 

I turned around, facing my batchmates. Itinaas ko ang aking dalawang kamay papunta sa likod ng ulo ko hanggang sa maramdaman ko ang buhol na nakapatong sa buhok ko.

I untie the knot, letting go of the blindfold.

I'm blind. But I've graduated without those eyes. 

No, I'm not born with this handicap. 

Someone did this to me. 

At ngayong nakapagtapos na ako, I'll search for him. 

I'll hunt him and I will make him pay.

Even without my sense of sight. Even without my eyes..
