"And they never came back." Aspen pursed her lips as she finally lifted her head up to see Ella's expression. Ella face was red from all the crying.

"Are you telling me that my brother is dead?" Ella yelled as she stood up causing the chair to fall backwards. "Ella," Aspen stood up and looked at her with a sorry face.

"No!" Ella yelled as she stomped back to the door and walked outside, slamming the door behind her. Aspen smirked once Ella left the office, an evil smirk.

"Ma'am can I get you anything?" The waiter asked her. "No." Ella answered quickly.

Ella was now at the Palace's cafe, she still didn't leave. All she could think right now was about her brother. He is dead, he is no longer alive. She has no family member left; they're all gone. And Ella couldn't stop thinking that it was her fault.

"Why are you crying?" A girl that looked like a ten year old asked. "It's nothing." Ella wiped the tears away but still wanted to cry more. "You can sit if you want." Ella offered the girl who held her lunch tray. The girl smiled softly as she sat down.

"My name is Eleanor." The girl, Eleanor, smiled. "I am Ella." Ella couldn't help but smile. "Why were you crying?" Eleanor asked obviously interested.

"I lost someone." Some tears fell by remembering why she cried in the first place. "Who?" Eleanor ate a mouth full of her mashed potatoes and looked at Ella who giggled at her actions. "What?" Eleanor asked innocently.

"You just remind me so much of myself when I was young." Ella smiled at the little girl who was eating her lunch. "Anyways, who did you lose?"

"My brother." Ella smiled sadly and played with her fingers. "I am sorry." Eleanor finally made the words come out after she stuttered speaking. "The last time I met him was when I was young."

Eleanor stopped eating and her eyes started to water only feeling bad for Ella. Ella realizing what was happening broke the silence, "So, ummm... what do you do around here?"

"Ummm... we get trained by people who are older than 18. And when we get over 18 we get to train younger people like me." She started,"We have missions to fight villains, at least that's what I call them." She giggled which made Ella smile.

"Your actually my second friend here." Eleanor smiled thankfully, "Who was the first?" Ella couldn't help but ask. "He was one of my trainers." She smiled sadly.

"Well, what happened?" Ella asked but she regretted it. "He left to fight a group of witches but never came back." A few tears left Eleanor's eyes.

"That's the same reason I lost my brother." A really comfortable silence fell upon them, it's like Eleanor was young Ella. It was like they were the same person, it was like they knew each other.

"What was his name?" Eleanor asked but before Ella could answer, a woman came to their table. "Eleanor to the training room please."

Eleanor nodded and stood up as she took her tray, "I'll see you later." And with that the ten year old Eleanor was gone without her question answered.

Ella's phone rang as she took out of her pocket not even checking the ID number. "Hello?"

"Where are you?" He asked and she quickly recognized his voice making her smile.

"I'm fine, Alec." She assured him.

"Prove it." She could tell he had a smirk on his face, "Ok."

She quickly got up from her seat and walked to the exit. Once, she got out she walked towards Alec who didn't know that she knew that he was here. "Hey Alec," She smiled as he turned around and hung up on the line.

"How did you-" before he could finish his question Ella ran to him and squeezed him. "I really needed one of these hugs you know." She smiled.

"Why are you here?" He asked once they broke apart, "Asking for my brother, but apparently he didn't come back." Few tears fell as Alec quickly embraced her in a hug.

"I am sorry." He tightened his hands on her small back as she cried on the crook of his neck. "He probably forgot about me." She sniffed.

"No, Ella don't say that." He looked at her in a soft disbelief as they broke the hug, "I am sure he couldn't stay alive without you." He told her causing Ella to smile.

"Ms holt?" A woman spoke causing the both of them to look at her. "Yes?"

"Eleanor needs you."

"What happened?"

"She's hurt."
