Luna x Reader

You're in a window sill with your guitar. Normally, you don't sing, but everyone is at Hogsmeade. You strum your guitar lightly and start to sing your song.

I will not make the same mistakes that you did
I will not let myself
Cause my heart so much misery
I will not break the way you did
You fell so hard
I've learned the hard way
To never let it get that far

Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid

I lose my way
And it's not too long before you point it out
I cannot cry
Because I know that's weakness in your eyes
I'm forced to fake
A smile, a laugh everyday of my life
My heart can't possibly break
When it wasn't even whole to start with

Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I find it hard to trust not only me, but everyone around me
Because of you
I am afraid

I watched you die
I heard you cry every night in your sleep
I was so young
You should have known better than to lean on me
You never thought of anyone else
You just saw your pain
And now I cry in the middle of the night
For the same damn thing

Because of you
I never stray too far from the sidewalk
Because of you
I learned to play on the safe side so I don't get hurt
Because of you
I try my hardest just to forget everything
Because of you
I don't know how to let anyone else in
Because of you
I'm ashamed of my life because it's empty
Because of you
I am afraid

Because of you
Because of you

You hear applause and someone exclaim, "Wow!"

You jerk around and Luna is standing there applauding you.

"How long were you standing there?"

"Most of it. Why?"

You look down in embarrassment. "Because I don't like singing in front of people."

"Why? You have a great voice and can play really well."

You chuckle dryly.

"It's not my voice or my playing I'm embarrassed by. It's my song."

"Oh. Wait, did you write that song?"

You nod. Her eyes widen in wonder.

"What happened to make you write that?"

You think for a minute. Luna seems like a nice, innocent girl. She'd be safe to tell.

"You don't have to tell me. I'm just curious."

"It's fine. I live in the Muggle world with my parents. I had a relationship there and they were a jerk. I told them I had to go to a school somewhere else. They told me that was fine, that we'd make our relationship work. But every time we were together, they put me down for every small mistake I made. They became distant. It all just added up until I broke it off. They then revealed that they were with my best friend the entire time. And I thought I had loved them. I lost two best friends that day."

"Oh, I'm so sorry."

She says it so sincere that you have to crack a smile.

"Why? You didn't do anything."

"I just hate it when people don't see what they have and then they screw it up. You're beautiful. Why didn't they see that? I don't know about your significant other's sanity because they screwed up big time. They had a prize."

She gives you a genuine smile.

"Thanks, but you don't have to make me feel better. I'm over it now."

"I'm not trying to make you feel better. I'm trying to tell you that I understand they were an ungrateful git."

You giggle at her. "I think I'll like you."

She beams at you. "I think I'll like you too. Can you do another song?"

"Uhm..."

"You don't have to. I just want to hear your voice again."

"Okay. One written by me?"

"Yes!"

Oh oh Oh, there's a place that I know
It's not pretty there and few have ever gone
If I show it to you now
Well it make you run away?

Or will you stay
Even if it hurts
Even if I try to push you out
Will you return?
And remind me who I really am
Please remind me who I really am

Everybody's got a dark side
Do you love me?
Can your love mine?
Nobody's a picture perfect
But we're worth it
You know that we're worth it
Will you love me?
Even with my dark side?

Like a diamond
From black dust
It's hard to know
What can become
If you give up
So don't give up on me
Please remind me who I really am

Everybody's got a dark side
Do you love me?
Can you love mine?
Nobody's a picture perfect
But we're worth it
You know that we're worth it
Will you love me?
Even with my dark side?

Don't run away
Don't run away
Just tell me that you will stay
Promise me you will stay

Will you love me?  Oh

Everybody's got a dark side
Do you love me?
Can you love mine?
Nobody's a picture perfect
But we're worth it
You know that we're worth it
Will you love me?
Even with my dark side?

Don't run away
Don't run away

Don't run away
Promise you'll stay

"I think I can," she says.

"Huh?"

"I think I can love you with your dark side."

"Are you sure? That's quite a task."

"Yes."

"What makes you so sure? You barely know me."

"Because I can tell you're a good person. You're beautiful, smart, and kind. There has to be a balance somewhere. You can't be all good. I think I could love your dark side if you could love mine."

"Are you sure I'm worth it?"

"Positive."

"Then I guess we can try it."

She holds out her hand to you. "Shall we?"

You stand and grab your guitar in one hand, her hand in the other.

"We shall."

Obviously, you didn't write those songs. Kelly Clarkson did. The first song is "Because of you". (You should check out when she did a duet with Reba McEntire) The second song is "Dark Side".
