Skullgirls is, by far, my most wanted franchise for Death Battle, and there are multiple matchups I want to draw attention to. So if you like any of the matchups here, then maybe send them into their official suggestion form:

Filia vs Shinichi Izumi (Parasyte). Young ordinary teenagers living their ordinary lives, until one day, their family is killed, and they would have been as well if not for the intervention of a parasitic being that saved their life, became attached to them and took over a portion of their body.

Cerebella vs Twintelle (ARMS). Beautiful exotic celebrities of colour who fight with an extra pair of arms that resides atop their head.

Peacock vs B.B. Hood (Darkstalkers). Unhinged young girls from fighting games that utilize fantastical arsenals and lots of explosions.

Parasoul vs Neo (RWBY). Graceful, elegant women that fight using an umbrella that doubles as a blade. Plus there's a cop vs robber dynamic on top of thise.

Ms. Fortune vs Neferpitou (Hunter x Hunter). Human-cat hybrids who have healing factors, a knack for puns, playful personalities, loyalty to a specific group, and play the role of designated master thieves in their respective groups.

Painwheel vs Decapre (Street Fighter). Ordinary teenage girls that were kidnapped, experimented on and tortured in order to be turned into a living weapon.

Valentine vs Litchi Faye-Ling (BlazBlue). Sexualized medical professionals from fighting games that, due to extreme circumstances, are forced to cast aside their moral code and do things they'd really rather not for the sake of the greater good.

Double vs Envy (Fullmetal Alchemist). Artificial shapeshifting beings that loyally serve beings with extreme god complexes and low views on humanity. They are incredibly smug, and they use their shapeshifting as a tool to manipulate people into playing into their masters' plans. They both have monstrous, inhuman true forms that they typically keep hidded from the public, and they both have a particular hatred for a specific member of the cast for killing their loved ones (Double despises Eliza for the death of the Trinity, Envy hates Roy Mustang for killing Lust)

Squigly vs Hsien-Ko (Darkstalkers). Dark blue and red clad cute zombie girls from fighting games who lost almost their entire family to a massacre. Both of their mothers made a huge sacrifice in an effort to save them, both have a loyal companion permanently attached to them that prevents them from becoming a mindless brain eater, and both manage to remain friendly, polite young women despite their awful situation.

Big Band vs Nonon Jakuzure (Kill La Kill). They make use of all sorts of musical instruments to fight. ...Ben is hard, okay?

Eliza vs Anakaris (Darkstalkers). Ancient egyptian rulers from fighting games with opposing ideologies, with Eliza wanting power for the sake of it and Anakaris being a genuinely fair and just ruler who cares for his people.

Beowulf vs Kanji (Persona). Tough, hardcore, yet surprisingly pure and wholesome wrestlers that fight primarily with a folding chair.

Robo Fortune vs GIR (Invader Zim). Weird, quirky, meme spewing robots that tend to annoy their masters more than help them. Plus Robo is a cat robot and GIR's disguise is a dog

Annie vs Linne (Under Night in Birth). Centuries old women trapped in the bodies of young girls due to a curse that they fight with all their might to destroy the source of. Both wield broadswords in battle, both are cynical and jaded from their experiences, both have a small cutesy mascot companion that stays by their side at all times, and both play a mentor-like role to an idiot hero (Beowulf and Hyde).

Umbrella vs Hat Kid (A Hat in Time). Young girls that fight with umbrellas that have exciteable, childish personalities, tend to have a lot of sass and a little bit of brattiness in their mannerisms, and are memetically known for showing a specific emotion (Umbrella being known for being salty, Hat Kid known for being smug).

Marie vs Sans (Undertale). Skeletal based fighters with ethereal blue flames/aura that fight primarily with projectiles and summons (Sans' Gaster Blasters are sentient I believe), and only fight out of a sense of justice for those that were wronged by a specific party. Plus both are fought within a holy, sacred place, beneath the church and in the judgement hall.

And to cover some bases, a couple extras:

Black Dahlia vs Bryan Fury (Tekken). Former fighters for the side of good that were converted into cyborgs, after which they turned on their previous allies and became ruthless murderers that relish in the despair they cause others. While Dahlia remains composed, elegant, cold and calculating, Fury is just a complete madman that communicates primarily through shouting and psychotic laughter.

Minette vs Isabelle (Super Smash Bros). Pure, wholesome cinnamon rolls that are beloved by their respective fanbases and want nothing more than to provide the best service they possibly can.
