"So tell me," Selena Black's voice disrupts our, what used to be, peaceful silence. Her vanilla ice cream was melting off her cone onto her finger, as she lifted the hand to her face to lick the creamy substance off as neatly as she could. "Why did saint Sofia ditch you of all people?"

I frowned at that, not liking the emphasis on the you, sounding quite mocking and sarcastic in my ears.

"What do you mean?" I question and took a bite of my own kinder bueno ice cream, an instant brain freeze making its way to my head as Selena and I continued walking along the path made out for us in the park we were currently visiting.

The fresh air was nice after a few hours in the dark lazer tag room, competing like little kids. Sweat had drenched us both by the time we finished our game, a nice stroll in the park with ice cream seemed ideal. Pretty harmonies of tweeting birds was surrounding the entire park, it was very peaceful.

Granted, it would've been more peaceful if Sofia was by my side right now and not with my selfish little brother. But what can i do, right?

"I mean, how could she ever. I thought you guys were joined to the hip or something." The wiggle in her neatly trimmed eyebrows brought a weight to my chest as I realised that other people had realised it too.

They also saw the change in our dynamic, in our relationship. They saw how I couldn't spend a moment away from her anymore. They did, but she doesn't.

Ofcourse not. Why would Sofia ever leave her pretty little Prince Charming for rugged old Justin Adams.

If i was burning in fire and she had a glass of water, theres no doubt in my head she'd give it to Alec if his throat felt a little parched. It's just the way it is, the way it has been since we were fourteen. I wasn't confident it would change anytime soon.

I just assumed with our kiss maybe things had changed but clearly not, if she so enthusiastically leaves with him when he gives her a half assed invitation to go out.

I gave Selena a smile anyway though, and shook my head at her statement.

"Might seem like it. But 'Fie would never pick me over my brother. God knows she made that clear." I tried not to roll my eyes but it was hard when I remembered how easily she left with him earlier.

It bugged me. And i knew it shouldn't, it wasn't that big a deal if we're honest. Who was i to tell her not to after all? I definitely wasn't her boyfriend. Was i her friend? Is that all we were? Was i even that?

Who knew. All i knew was that i'd drop everything on earth if she asked me to. I could only wish the same back.

Selena groaned and gave me a shove, sending me stumbling into the muddy ground beneath the neatly set out stone path, my clean white shoes getting patterns of brown mud coated on the sides.

I groaned back at her and motioned at my 'new' shoes dejectedly.

"Really Selena? You're paying for these."

"Like hell i am! Fix your shit first and then we'll see." She shook her head and dragged me back next to her, motioning at an area of grass so i could wipe the mud on that.

I mumbled a thanks before questioning what the fuck that even means.

She called me oblivious and annoying a few times before finally going off on her rant.

"It's like you guys are blind? Not even, thats offensive to them, they could notice it before you two. You've quite literally spent all of your time together since you've arrived back here. Do you really think if she cared that little about you, thats what she'd do? Justin, this girl is just as clueless as you are, dont make me mad with you too." She whined and took a seat on a nearby bench, setting her bright pink purse to the side.
