"You're gonna what?" He gasps.

"I'm gonna get you out of here, Ranboo." You mutter determinedly.

"How're you gonna to do that?" He whisper-yells, and you chew the inside of your lip as you think.

"I'm royalty. I can figure it out." You promise. Ranboo takes an anxious breath before nodding.

Suddenly, there's the sound of footsteps and armour clinking from the door to the dungeon. You both startle, and you give Ranboo a small wave before running away down the long hallway of cells. You crouch behind a small jut of rock and try to quieten your breathing.

Just as you get out of sight, two of the knights, Sir Dream and Sir Wilbur arrive at the bottom of the stairs.

They're both eyeing Ranboo, probably confused as to why he's so close to the bars, but they shake it off.

"The king wishes to speak with you." Dream announces, and Ranboo clicks his tongue.

"I can't exactly say no, can I? Let's go." Ranboo replies and Wilbur laughs.

Dream unlocks the prison and you see your chance. Your father was the greatest swordsman in the kingdom in his golden years, and had trained you himself since you were a child.

You pop out of your hiding spot and run towards Dream and Wilbur. Before he could react, you pull Dreams sword out from his hilt and raise it. Wilbur draws his own and you give him a smirk.

"You're really gonna try that with the kings child?" You ask, and Wilbur sets his jaw.

"It makes no difference to me that you're royalty, your highness. You're trying to break a prisoner out of jail." He replies, and your smile grows. Your father had indeed picked loyal men.

"More fun for me, then." You comment.

You move towards Wilbur, pushing his sword down with the blade of yours, and raising your foot to kick him in the stomach. Wilbur counters, turning out of your grasp and blocking your foot with the handle of his sword.

You grunt with effort, and the sound of metal against metal echoes through the dungeon. Sir Dream stands there, useless as he watches the fight, but gets an idea. Of course, it was no secret that he was a better fighter than Sir Wilbur.

"Wilbur, pass it!" He commands, and Wilbur obliges, throwing dream his sword. Defenceless, Wilbur falls a victim to a kick to the chest, knocking him back into a wall. He falls to the ground, unconscious.

Heavily breathing, you face up to Dream. Staring at the cold eyes of his mask.

"Think you can beat me?" He asks and you scoff.

"This doesn't need to be a fight. Just let me take the prisoner so you don't lose your job." You offer.

Dream pretends to think, but lunges his sword towards you, catching you off guard. Your blades meet, and a sword fight begins.

It's not long into the fight, when you realise you've been cornered.

Dream has pushed you against a wall and isn't losing stamina, unlike you who's had to fight both him and Wilbur.

Just as you begin to think of giving up, there's a clang, and Dream falls to the floor. Behind him, Ranboo is stood with a metal plate.

"Never thought that would come in handy." He comments and you laugh. Soon, you're both laughing.

It dies down, and you both remember that Ranboo is a prisoner that is currently being broken out. And you are the perpetrator.

You grasp Ranboo's hand and run up the stairs together. As you reach the door, you ready your sword. You open it quietly, and peek around it, keeping an eye out of patrolling guards, but none are coming.

You both sneak out and take off running down the hallways, down countless flights of stairs and out into the main square.

You press yourself against the wall and slowly inch your way closer and closer to the stables. Ranboo copies you, intently eyeing your every move.

Once you get close enough, you clasp Ranboo's hand again and break into a sprint for the stables.

You get there without being noticed, and once the door's closed, you breath a sigh of relief.

You walk to your horse, a fine black stallion with kind brown eyes. You mount it, and help Ranboo up to sit behind you.

He is unbalanced, and wraps his long arms around your waist. Your cheeks burn, but there's no time to be flustered. You take off through the horse door.

The horse gallops out of the square, and directly out of the gate. As you're riding out, you hear the warning bells sound. Sir Wilbur or Sir Dream must have woken and alerted more of the guard.

Pretty soon, with your fast pace, the palace and the warning bells are long behind you. You slow, and let out the tension in your body with a heavy sigh.

"You're free now, Ranboo." You tell him, turning to look at the enderman.

He smiles, hugging your waist tighter. "Thank you." He murmurs. You give a soft laugh and place your hand over his one on your waist.

"I'm just happy you weren't executed." You deadpan, and Ranboo lets out a burst of surprised laughter.

"Yeah, so am I." He mumbles and you laugh out of your nose.

A few days later...

You would have to return to the palace soon.

Ranboo had built a small house to dwell in, beyond the border of your kingdom and was settling in well and getting supplies with little to no trouble.

You take in an anxious breath, and mount your horse.

"Y/N?" Ranboo calls out, and your whip around to face him.

"Ranboo." You reply solemnly.

"Where're you going?" He asks innocently, and you bite the inside of your lip.

"I need to go home." You whisper. And you can practically see Ranboo's heart drop. His eyes shine with emotion, and his jaw twitches.

"You can't- they know. They know it was you." He says, and you nod. "They'll kill you for it." He adds and you nod again.

"I've done what I think is right. I must face the consequences." You reply, stony-faced.

Ranboo shakes his head with disbelief.

"Stay. I- I still need more help. I haven't got enough supplies, the wood in the roof is-"

"Those aren't reasons. I need to go."

"I need you. There, is that a reason? I. Need. You. If you died 'cause of me... well, I don't know if I'd be able to live with myself." Ranboo reveals, tears beginning to slip down his cheeks, giving of steam as they scar his skin.

You jump from your horse, rushing to him and wiping his tears.

"Don't cry. Don't cry." You console him and eventually he stops crying.

"Will you stay?" He asks hopefully.

"Well, the wood in the roof does need fixing." You chuckle.

Ranboo laughs along. Wrapping his arms around your shoulders, consumed with the joy of knowing that you'd be safe and sound with him.

And he hoped it would be you two together for the rest of your lives.
