"Hello?" You call out, stumbling your way through the forest.

"Hello?" Replies a voice. Thank god, a person.

You come into a clearing, and see a man. He's glowing.

His hair's shaved, and he has a blue hoodie on. Around his body, there are floating blaze rods, they glow identically to his eyes. You're momentarily entranced by this mans appearance.

"How'd you get here? Who are you?" The man quizzes in a heavy English accent and it snaps you out of your daze.

"Uh, I'm Y/N. I've been lost for a while, just... walking." You tell him and he nods thoughtfully.

The bright warm yellow of his eyes regards you for a moment, and your black ones do the same to him.

He takes in your red hair and the long white feathers protruding and mixing with your hair.

"So, you're a blaze?" You mumble, trying to fill the silence. He inhales and nods, he then gestures to you.

"And you're a...?" He prompts.

"Oh! I'm a strider." You say with a smile, the man returns the smile. "You haven't introduced yourself?" You add on with a tilt of your head.

The mans bright eyes widen and he flushes slightly. "Oh yeah, I'm sorry! I'm Jack." He informs and you give him a smile and a nod. "Jack." You repeat.

"Yeah, Y/N and Jack, what a pair." He jokes and you laugh at his awkwardness.

"Do you live alone?" You ask, and Jack pauses before shaking his head. This revelation surprises you and you raise your eyebrows.

"I live with eight other people." He reveals and you let out a whistle.

"That's a lot of people." You comment and he nods with a laugh.

"You could meet them for yourself, they're all pretty cool." He offers and you're a little taken aback.

"Really?" You ask and he smiles, raising his eyebrows to make an encouraging expression.

You mull it over, before finally deciding, what could go wrong?

10 minutes later...

You and Jack come up on a mostly flat area by a big body of water. You assume this is where he lives because there are a few structures.

A house, situated on the ground and tucked in between a few trees, and an extremely tall, laddered platform that looks a little dangerous.

"So this is it! Home, sweet home!" He announces and you chuckle. You two walk closer and you smile at the warm light emitting from the ground-level house.

You place your hand on Jack's shoulder to tell him how pretty the house was, but he flinches away. "Careful!" He yells and you blush in embarrassment.

"What?" You ask, and Jack relaxes his shoulders some, staring at your hands incredulously.

"Your- your hand! It's not all burnt!" He exclaims, grasping said hand and inspecting it.

"Uh, no? Why would it- ohhh, you're a blaze! I bet you burn most people, right?" You theorise and Jack confirms it with a sad nod. "Well, Jack, you're in luck! Cause I'm a strider, remember? Lava and fire doesn't affect me!" You inform and Jack lets out a breathy laugh.

To prove your point, you place your hand on Jack's shoulder again, and keep it pressed there. You move the hand to his neck, and there's still no affect.

"You're immune!" He breathes, and you can see the happiness in his eyes.

"Yup!" You confirm, and Jack does something that makes your face turn as red as your hair.

He reaches out to hold your hand.

Oblivious to your flustered state, Jack marvels at his ability to do such an action.

He finally looks up, and you've just calmed down enough that you only look a little red.

"You're a bit red, are you ok?" Jack asks, and you nod quickly.

"Just uh, you're still a bit warm to me, that's all! I guess I'm not totally immune." You lie with a laugh, and Jack buys it. He nods and apologises quietly, but you assure him it's fine.

After a few seconds more of testing your immunity to Jack's extreme blaze bodily heat, he meets your eyes once more.

"I need to show everyone this!" He exclaims, looking like a kid in a candy store. He grabs your hand once more, and takes off running towards the house.

It's a short run, but it's long enough that you're being dragged along significantly.

In the house...

"Guys! Guys!" Jack calls out, and the people in the small house all turn to look at you both.

There's a blond man with massive black wings, and a brunet with translucent skin. There's also an extremely tall enderman that looked weirdly human, and a teenage boy with beautiful little bee wings.

They all stare, before the translucent one noticed Jack's hand holding yours.

"Jack! Careful! You're gonna burn her!" He exclaims in a more posh English accent than Jack's.

The rest notice too and start clamouring for him to let you go.

Jack gets them to quiet down, and tells them that you aren't affected. Since you're a strider and all, blah blah blah.

They all relax and are able to greet you properly.

You introduce yourself, and they introduce themselves.

The one with wings' name is Phil, and the one with translucent skin is Wilbur. The endermans name is Ranboo, and the bee teen is called Tubbo.

They seem like good people.

While you're all talking, you notice a large glass tank built into the wall.

Inside, it holds a woman. She has fish gills.

"Oh, wow. Who's she?" You ask, pointing to the woman, who waves at you.

"That's Niki! She's a Merling, so she can't be out of water." The one named Wilbur informs.

"Hello!" She calls, voice slightly muffled by the glass.

"Alright, who took my-" Starts a voice of a guy behind you. He'd walked in and noticed you.

You turn slowly to see a tall teenager with red wings protruding out of his ankles.

"Hi. You've got wings on your feet." You observe, which makes the group laugh.

"Yeah. Anyway, who took my armour?" Asks the teenager, ignoring you.

"We don't know, Tommy. Maybe Sneeg or Charlie has your armour!" Tubbo says and the Tommy guy groans, before leaving out the door again.

"That was Tommy, he's not good at first impressions." Tubbo tells you, and you laugh.

"I can tell."

It was a nice mix of good people, and you could tell from the second you arrived, that you'd love it with Jack and his friends.

... but mainly with Jack
